Sandringham, August this year.

Pet Shop Boys were the headline band the day I went but Scissor Sisters absolutely stole the show for me.

How was BC Camplight? He was great at the Baths a couple of years back.

Slightly jealous of that.

South of Heaven and Reign in Blood are thrash metal masterpieces.

I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun. I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.

It was right up there with the best gigs I've ever seen. They were so good. Played just over an hour, no encore, just a blistering set from start to finish. Finsbury Park is a really good venue too.

Also, really good there.

I wasn't totally sure if he would be as not heard much of his new stuff but, i needed to take advantage of being really close to the Roundhouse one last time.

NENA at Shepherds Bush Empire back in October - was a fantastic night.

The culmination of a few months of seeing German artists in concert; Heinz Rudolf Kunze in Berlin, and then PUR & Friends (including Nik Kershaw) at Schalke.

I believe it's what the cool kids have been referring to as a Bratwurst Summer.

The BBC Symphony Orchestra performing Stravinsky's The Song of the Nightingale, Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E minor (Augustin Hadelich violin soloist), Anthony Davis' Tales (Tails) of the Signifying Monkey and R. Strauss's Till Eulenspiegel’s Merry Pranks at the Royal Albert Hall as part of the BBC Proms series.

Overdue something to be honest.

Didn't realise classical music concerts counted!

Anyway, dunno if you'd call it a gig, but had forgotten I went to Nitin Sawhney at Leeds Metro Uni, November 2008. Absolutely magical.

I went with my boy in Edinburgh. It was very special. More of a happening than just a gig.

It certainly was a very special gig. Everything was just perfect.

Rag ‘n’ Bone Man at Thetford Forest in June.
Excellent gig.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

Edit. I just realised we saw Sam Ryder at King Tut's Wah Wah House two days after Adam Ant. Dragged by the Mrs but he was really good.

Other gigs this year: Paul Weller, Manic Street Preachers, Oasis and Odyssey
