TWTD Subject of the day - Doughnuts on 11:38 - Dec 18 with 699 viewsDJR Doughnuts are feature of Chanukah. In the mainly Jewish firm of solicitors I worked in, people used to bring them into the office to share. And it was poignant to hear a survivor say that the Chanukah gathering in Sydney was meant to be about light and doughnuts. [Post edited 18 Dec 2025 11:39]

This is the choice of a psychopath. A stale jam doughnut is your favourite?

Where are you keeping your doughnuts that they go stale after a day? I know what he means - when they've dried out a bit (not "stale") and have a bit of crispness to them.

You're absolutely correct, but with one exception: fairground / seaside hot ring doughnuts, which are up there with Jam ones.

Day old, and they spend 10 seconds in the microwave to get rid of that "crispness" (bonus that the jam is then warm too)

Keep them anywhere and they start to go stale after a day, the crispiness you enjoy is it going stale.
