That's a really a good shout. Could see that happening. Maybe another lower orem.team.might come in but I imagine he is just desperate to play now and might just decide 6 months champ and a promotion shot is a good idea | |

we've only spent "proper money" twice on a cf. hirst & delap, both worked out. it's the punts which haven't been so impressive (though we made a profit on ahadme and maybe on aah too?)

Can't see us paying to end his loan, especially if Hirst is going to be out for a while. And we still don't really have any No 10 cover. Think realistically his minutes are limited because McK views him as a 10 and Nunez has locked that slot down. |  |

That would be a tricky one to negotiate.
We have an obligation to buy for £7m if we go up, and we are sitting in 3rd place.
Ajax aren't going to end the loan cheaply when they can see a £7m payday. |  |

Akpom has been a flop at Town so far. We all thought we were getting 2022-23 Akpom who won the Golden Boot at Boro, although I'm told he was playing as a 2nd striker rather than a no.10 there. If he'd gone to Brum, it might be working out well for him there.
He seems like a fish out of water at Town, either not fitting into our system or unsure of his role. But I think we're stuck with him for the season & Ajax will claim their £7m if we go up (I could like with that). |  |
