| Is there anyone on here who does not expect us to win today? 05:04 - Jan 1 with 1530 views | Grief | I won’t say comfortably, because when do we ever do anything the easy way? Even if we bizarrely went behind to an freak goal, or were reduced to ten men, i just cannot see anything but a win. Are these expectations false? | | | | |
| Is there anyone on here who does not expect us to win today? on 06:06 - Jan 1 with 1241 views | suffolkpoker | Didn’t they beat us at there place? These type of games can be harder than playing teams around us. They will play deep or the low block (the new term), they will be physical and present a danger from set pieces. Tbh I would rather play a team who would come and have a go and leave space behind. We always struggle with this type of team | |

Maybe Greaves in place of .Leif might offer us a little bit extra height at set-pieces from an attacking point of view. Can see them playing deep, but we'd be likely to pump plenty of balls into their box ( oh matron). I do sense the same level of confidence that we had after Coventry and Stoke.... yet we then came unstuck at Leicester. So.... I think we'll win and it could be an scruffy, edgy one-niller or a comfortable pipe and slippers job. But if we don't win ( which is very possible), we should be allowed to be disappointed. They're not Leicester away and we have to follow Coventry up properly.

| Is there anyone on here who does not expect us to win today? on 08:32 - Jan 1 with 1037 views | Dubtractor | I wouldn't say I expect us to win, as football isn't that simple, but I will be surprised if we don't considering our home form over the season and the gap in quality between the 2 teams. Yes, the Charlton game happened, but it was very much the exception for our home results. Last 10 home games - 7 wins, 2 draws, 1 defeat. Fast start and ideally an early goal should set us up for a decent afternoon. | |

| Is there anyone on here who does not expect us to win today? on 08:36 - Jan 1 with 1028 views | PhilsAngels | Unless we happen to score early I see it as another game of frustration as Oxford play for a point or three on the break. They need to try and get away from the relegation zone, and I don't see them coming to play toe to toe football. A low block and the usual fans getting frustrated and edgy. Just need to learn to unlock these types of teams early. | | | |

| Is there anyone on here who does not expect us to win today? on 08:46 - Jan 1 with 975 views | boysof1981 | We should win and win comfortably, but if this season is anything to go by it’s this sort of game where we look nothing short of ordinary especially in the first half. I’d love us to smash them 6-0, but fully expect 1-1. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

A screamer from Kipre through a mass of Oxford players will get us off the mark early today, you mark my words.

| Is there anyone on here who does not expect us to win today? on 09:18 - Jan 1 with 820 views | muccletonjoe | Expectations will be high after the Coventry game , this one will be totally different. Their remit will be to frustrate and get behind the ball. The sooner we score the better , depends how long they can keep us out , the longer it goes the more danger we are in. | | | |
| Is there anyone on here who does not expect us to win today? on 09:27 - Jan 1 with 777 views | BouncebackIpswich | Today is going to be a litmus test of how far Ipswich have progressed. You simply have to make a habit of putting the poorer teams in the league away week in, week out, if you want to be promoted. Yes I am nervous. Up until now we've performed poorly in games against physical, defensive sides. No point doing the double over Cov if Oxford do the double over us. All that said, 3-0 Town... | | | |

Early goal essential. 2 or more up at half time would give KM the opportunity to bring off players required for Pompey. We shouldn’t lose.
| Is there anyone on here who does not expect us to win today? on 09:37 - Jan 1 with 711 views | Libero | Oxford will stick 11 behind the ball and this is the championship where anyone can beat anyone - nothing is a cert in this league, which many of our fans would do well to remember. | | | |

Should have enough to win without major alarms, of course, but think it could take time and probably won't be especially memorable.

| Is there anyone on here who does not expect us to win today? on 10:28 - Jan 1 with 505 views | Swansea_Blue | Me and the boy watched the Oxford v Swans match after our match the other evening (that went down well with my better half lol). That was at Oxford and they were atrocious. I still can’t believe how we managed to lose to them last time out. We should win, but we’ll have to earn it. I hope the crowd stay patient if we end up having to chip away at a 10 man wall for 60 mins. | |

A nervy 0-0 at HT it is then. Certainly should win, will it be easy, No but our quality should show especially those coming off the bench. 2-1.
