It's one or two quality players at this level nowadays. Good for them but hard to see how it dramatically changes things.

They did pretty well yesterday anyway!

I actually think Morsy has the potential to dramatically change them. They are a good team but always feel a little bit lightweight and have the odd game each month they don't turn up. Morsy helps with both.

If you added a couple of quality signings with that money they become dangerous.

It's not game changing money in the current Championship, quite a few sides spent fees and wages on a single player this summer that would account for that whole £11m. No doubt they'll be able to use it to bring in one or two signings but I don't think they have the quality and depth to be top 2 contenders even with a couple of signings.

I doubt whatever they’ll do will make them capable of winning at 15 of the remaining games.

But it won't be the Morsy we saw under McKenna.

He's older, different team, players, coaches and style.

If were worried about Bristol City then we may as well give up now. £11m doesnt even buy you McAteer

The Budgies spent about £50 million didn't they and sit 22nd?

Brizzle do have some dangerous players, they seemed pretty functional earlier in tbe year, playing more like an away team

The xG yesterday suggests they were pretty clinical. If Mehmeti has a good day or you give Twine too many set pieces, you can be in trouble. They even seem to have got Armstrong scoring.

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Maybe Morsy of 3 years ago, but I'm unsure 34 year old Sam Morsy who went to retire in Kuwait because he didn't want to play a rotational role, will have quite the impact you're expecting.

Agreed. If he’s still able to keep up, he could be a real asset. It all depends on how his body has responded to effectively 6 months off competitive football. If he can get match fit quickly, he’ll be a good signing for them.

He was playing in the prem last season and keeps himself in exceptional condition. It's his leadership/setting the standards day in and out in training that will help them in what is already a decent side. I expect he will make an impact because he always does. He doesn't make them better than us.

Why 3 years ago anyway. He was at his best in the last 12-18 months.34 isnt past it on his role and in a modern day player who has throughout their career looked after themselves to the extreme.

Also questioning that man's mentality with "went to retire" is disrespectful to the man he is. You really think that is in his personality?

I wish him well. We've moved on.

They could buy 11/12s of KM for that!

I’m sure he was very serious about the very serious football in Kuwait…

Superb example to every aspiring footballer. I hope he does really well there and gets them up via the playoffs. I anticipate him getting into their starting line up and staying there. Not sure who their captain is now, but he'll certainly be at least an extra captain for them.

I hope he gets a massive reception on the 20th, and I don't care if it's before kick off either - he deserves it for what he did for us.

Only hope he doesn't crock anyone!

Not really. We could comfortably spend that and probably more if needed. Our squad on paper is fair superior amd still would be even if they spend £11M. Numez cost nearly that!

Help them into play-offs, but top 2 is us and Coventry. (in that order)
