I guess they are worried about players sliding off the pitch and skidding across ice then hitting advertising boards.

With two recent incidents of that happening badly, you would have thought it would have been in the club's risk assessment form to check a bit earlier than 2.55pm. Terrible stadium management.

So in the Championship one match postponed due to the undersoil heating failing and one where it did work but the surrounding areas were deemed unsafe. I won't bother with the Portsmouth one.

This isn't extreme weather though, is it? It's just a bit of frost, not even extreme low temperatures either.

I agree with you argument if we'd seen a load of snow, or -10 degrees, as our infrastructure isn't set up for that.
