if a Stegosaurus and a Polar bear had a fight?

Given a large Stegosaurus could be 7.5m and weight 5+ tonnes and is about ten times the size of a Polar bear why don't you take a guess.

Need to make it 10 polar bears.

The Stegosaurus might struggle on the ice, though. And if it is in the water the polar bear would have a distinct advantage wouldn't it or were Stegosauruses good swimmers?

Or if the polar bear utilises the low block and hits the Stegosaurus on the break

The polar bear is at home, so game off, frozen pitch.

I can't believe the ignorance in this thread.

The Stegosaurus is a herbivore. It would adopt a very defensive posture.

The unkowable is whether the Polar Bear's teeth and claws can penetrate the Stegosaurus' skin near to a major artery. If it can, that would be the potential route to victory.

Other's have mentioned the "Home or Away" question. A bigger deal would be the time of year. If it is during the bear's hibernation season, expect a very dull 0-0 snoozefest.

The day it wakes up from it's hibernation, Home or Away, Ice, River bank, Forest or Gravel, the Polar Bear isn't going to stop until it has taken chunks out of the Stegosaurus.

Over all: Win for the Polar Bear, because it wants it more.

Stegosaurus was a plodder and a moron, but also a naturally gifted defender in its day and could eat up the whole goal. 0-0 and last on MOTD if it was positioned correctly.

One of my most favourite facts - polar bears are one of four animals only that actively hunt human beings as prey.

Without googling, can anybody name the other three?

The mosquito has to be one.

If you are chased by a polar bear, you don't have to be able to outrun it to survive ... just to outrun the friend you are with!

One smash from the tail and it's massive spikes and the polar bear is a mangled mess.

Elephants are herbivores as are hippos (mostly) but I wouldn't fancy a polar bear against those either.

Plant eating doesn't equal pushover.

I don't know who would win in the fight, but I'd have money on the Stegosaurus telling the Polar Bear that he's a vegan within 5 minutes of meeting him

I'd say the polar bear would take one look at the size of the stegosaurus and do a runner. So technically a win for the dinosaur.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

Domestic cats don't hunt in the traditional sense. More sneaky luring humans in.
