Since Wetherspoons stopped doing steaks there’s not much else choice

Venue 16 specialise in steaks. Their reviews are excellent. I've only had roast dinners and cooked breakfasts there but they've always been very good so I think they would be worth checking out. It is out of town though so depends if you want to drive to it. |  | | |

Yeah I forgot about that one and I’ve been there before ha.
I find that steak is steak though isn’t it, no matter where you go? Can’t really go wrong with it, tastes the same wherever just might get a little bit more gristle

The best steak I've had in Ipswich was at the Salthouse Harbour Hotel on the waterfront. But they are a bit on the posho side, have only eaten there twice for special occasions. Check their current menu before booking to see what's on offer.
Venue 16 may be your best bet for a Steak specialist that's not quite as pricey overall.
@25 on St Nicholas street a good shout too.
Rio's if you want an 'all you can eat' buffet type experience.
I don't really rate Miller & Carter all that highly - pretty generic, it's a chain after all. But will do if you're not fussy. |  |

Not a steak restaurant per-se, but I've had several decent ribeye steaks at Mariners, plus you get the unusual experience of it being a boat!
I've never eaten there, but I'd imagine the Greyhound would do a decent steak? Rest of their food always looks good when it comes out. |  | | |
