For much of that game Blackburn looked like the better team, but without every seriously threatening us. We were struggling to keep hold of the ball for a lot of it, but when we did, on occasion, we really turned it on.
Despite it not being the best of performances it took a series of decent saves from to keep the scoreline down.
Lovely to have a pantomime villain in Cantwel who played the part very well, especially throwing himself over in the box and whining on to the ref asking for a pen.
On the subject of the ref, he was one of the most inconsistent I have seen for a while, one minute giving a free kick for the slightest of touches and the next letting the most blatant foul go.

I think to any neutral Blackburn certainly wouldn't have looked the better team at any point really. I think whenever we are comfortable and playing it in 3rd gear we get a bit sloppy and as a fan we get frustrated and see us as worse and the opposition S better then they are.
Blackburn were powder puff but a bit like boro last night we could have been our own worst enemy. It was a clear pen for them. Not as clear as ours a bit later of course. I actually think Azon should have been given 2 pens. He was lively when he came on. |  |

The final 8 minutes do not reflect the full match played today.
O'Shea, Kipre, and Davis all had to make vital blocks today to keep our clean sheet.
We could not control the game in that first half after our second goal, we could have been our worst own enemy with a better attack.
It does say a lot about them that they left the game 3-0 losers after the chances they had to score today, they are clearly lacking in quality.
Happy to have finally won 3 in a row in the league. We finally have a settled team, and we are pretty much set to get promoted.

At no point did I see Blackburn looking the better team, I actually thought they were comfortably the worst team I have seen at Portman are this season and I have only missed 2 home games.
Frankly I thought our performance was patchy, but Blackburn posed little threat and rarely could string more than 5 passes together before giving it away.
A weird game where after 5 mins I never had a doubt we would run out comfortable winners. [Post edited 17 Jan 15:53]

Those are mean useless stats out of context. They spend most of the possession passing the ball around at the back. Our passing wasn't at it's usual elite level, but we dominated that game for most of it, and managed it very well.

Passing the ball accurately across their third of the field doesn’t make them the better side, nor does that mean that their possession was in any way superior. It’s no wonder we have a problem with atmosphere with fans who see the game like you do |  | | |
