seem more than happy with £3m, a lot seemed to have been expecting £1.5m

Also tend to find that the 'headline' fee gets revised down over time as more information becomes available

It's a good fee for them but a good fee for us too. If we don't go up, we've got somebody with a track record of lots of goals and assists for a snip. If we do go up, he's either good enough or we sell him for double. The very definition of win-win.

Six months left and a decent fee for a replacement. They should be happy enough.

As for us, his stats really say everything we need to know. We've made a good signing.

Truly impaired.

The happiness with £3m now versus a free in the summer probably overlooks the actual cost of a 'free' signing as well.

If he was out of contract, he'd certainly be expecting a good chunk of that fee to end up in his/his agent's pocket instead.

£3m is chicken feed in the Championship these days.

It wasn't that long ago we, like them, were thinking £3m is a lot of money. We're in a different financial league now. It's a great deal for us and them.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

£3m looks cheap to me, I know 6 months left on current deal but was only discussing a new deal last week apparently so unlikely would have actually left for free.

Exactly what I was thinking - this is a low-risk deal for us with a high potential upside.

Doesn't matter if he's free in the summer, he's worth £3m to us now because he will 100% make an impact for the rest of the season.

Some people really need to appreciate what they have, the brizzo fans do seem unhappy about the loss but at least they signed Sami

I wonder how much Sami told him about us. He might have clinched the deal for us.

£3M is not a lot in todays market and probably about right for a player with six months left on his contract. Good deal all round.

Didn't Wrexham pay £7m+ for Broadhead with just 1 year left.

This feels on par with that.

I’d second that.

Cheap at the price if it helps get us over the line!

Feels like a bargain - Marcus Stewart cost £2.5M to get us over the line in 2000, and that turned out to be quite a reasonable piece of business.

Money well spent.
