I haven't met many, but Janoi Donacien and Ray Crawford both stand out.

Another vote for Janoi.

But also Milts, Luke Chambers, Christian Walton, Aaron Cresswell, Ian Westlake, Kevin Beattie, John Wark and George Burley to name a few.

Edit; Chris Kiwomya’s a friendly guy as well.

John Wark helped me as a nipper when I'd fallen and cut my knee running to swimming lessons at St Joseph's. I didn't know who he was, just remember a few of the adults being in awe as he passed me to them! This was probably late 80s. Seemed like a nice bloke from what I remember!

Brian Talbot and Laurie Sivell, nice down to earth guys. Johnny Wark as well once you get the hang of his accent.

When I was little John Elsworthy ran a post office on Felixstowe Road and he was a true gentleman.

I remember him being an absolute giant and very imposing. In his prime he must have been a very strong fella.

Being in my 70’s I was fortunate to see the 1981 team and the EUFA Cup run. I attended the anniversary dinner, held in 2012, to celebrate 40 years of this great occasion. Delayed due to COVID. Most of the players attended and took the opportunity to speak to fans present. They were all very pleasant especially Kevin O’Callaghan, Eric Gates and Russell Osman. Great unforgettable evening.

Of the 4 I know personally and have a personal relationship with, they're all really good blokes

Chambo - a genuinely caring bloke that wants to help others and gives his time to anyone he can

Huws- again always got an ear and advice if needed

Ted Bishop - good guy, down to Earth, was a support for me when I lost my dad and often checked in on me

Chris Kiwomya - always gives me support with coaching if I need it, talks me through games we watch together and is so warm and welcoming

Sir Bobby, a real gentleman always had time to chat to us as fans and never declined an autograph request

He came to a book signing once at a local book store and i had about 5 shirts for him to sign, after the 4th security tried to move us on but when bobby saw the 5th was a town shirt he insisted on signing it

Town & nufc will always be special in his heart and he'll always be special to us

Not a player or manager but I met Pat Godbold a few years ago while waiting with my kids for the team to arrive . She stopped and chatted to us. Lovely lady.

Sir Bobby Robson. Absolute class.
Bryan Hamilton.
Mark Venus.
Kevin Beattie.
Simon Milton.

Most players I’ve met over the years have generally been very friendly.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

Same, I haven't seen him in the pubs for a while now but once you start talking to him it's hard to get away. He used to sit with us for hours chatting all things football

Matt Holland.

Went to one of those "ITFC Roadshow" type things they did around 1996/97 ish when 4 or 5 players (can't remember who else, but fairly sure Adam Tanner was one of them) came to the Colchester event.

At the end of the night - or Q&A, I can't remember - all the players promptly left except for Holland who stayed for ages chatting with fans, doing photos etc. He made it really clear he was in no hurry and was enjoying talking with supporters etc. Really stuck out in my mind as the others had all disappeared sharp.
