Several players and Pert having a long chat with him after the game, wonder if he’s one we target again when we go up

Indeed.
These forwards are out there. Would be really good in our team

He was really good today. Derby’s only real threat.

He looks like the real deal - he would be tasty in our team.

Could he step up? I suppose he’s got the physical side sorted.

Not sure Derby would have let him go this window.

Just don't understand why we can't take a chance on these players before they get expensive. The days of plucking the likes of Walters from Chester seem over now :(

I could have saved us 15M extra it will cost us now. How did we not just do it in the summer I’ll never know! He has PL interest after the season he’s having.

Hijack the Derby bid by Joey_Joe_Joe_Junior 31 Jan 7:32
I think I should offer my services as a transfer consultant at this point, being correct about everything does get a bit boring though. Leeds and Palace rumored to be looking at him for 20-25M at the moment.

A rather decent goals and assist record for Derby this year and was a snip of a price, obviously one we could have easily outbid as well!

Poll: Ok gut feeling then, promotion?

Quite. Norwich seem to be able to sign strikers, and not even expensively.

He has an excellently wide back.

He's a bit of an enigma. I honestly wouldnt take him in the prem. He's big, powerful and strong. A proper good champ striker. But he's also a bit of a mess with his feet at times. He'll tread on it, leave it behind, overrun it, miscontrol etc.

But he's dangerous. He's a threat. You take the good with the bad with and he's raw. He would have been a good singing in the summer when we were in for him.

I think in the prem he doesn't have that quality of a Delap or similar. We would turn over the ball so regularly.

(Perhaps he can improve enough).

Thing is he does the back to goal stuff that McKenna likes as well but also scores more than any we have up top. Would have been perfect for us, that was evident watching USA this summer. We’d have obviously got him for 5-6M as well as derby would be able to match what we offered.

He's also incredibly loose with possession at times. He's, what, 25 and yet seems still very raw.

All the attributes, for sure though.

Yes, great at this level but a long way short of a PL forward. His close control is poor.

I know some people thought Azon played well. I'll agree to disagree.

But compare him to this bloke. It's chalk and cheese.

That's my impression of him, not that I've paid much attention to him before today.

He's Premier League bound so hopefully it's us. One that got away last summer.

So physically strong - even Kipre bounced off him.

I thought that at times he looked a threat. But, he also looked very clumsy as well - stood in the ball a couple of times and his control was poor as well.

Strong on the ball but at 25, he looked too raw to step up.

He’s only played in England 6 months, he’s going to be a monster and will be a very good striker for 5+ years at a decent level.

This is it for me, I wouldn't be surprised if we go up if he's one we look at to coach. He's not been playing football all that long really.

He's an absolute unit but he needs some work to be a real threat.

That means we didn’t really try.

Let’s face it twice the wages at least, massively increased probability of premier league promotion , living in Suffolk vs Derby.

I think we’ll need more than that if we go up. We invested in potential last me and look where it got us! We’ll need to invest in players to keep us up this time.
