has anyone else totally lost interest in this summer’s World Cup? The whole roundabout/flag debacle in the summer made me lose a lot of love for my country and with the horrendous corruption of FIFA, the global rise of racism and antisemitism, the Ronaldo nonsense, the fact it’s in the USA with Trump, ice et al is making it all rather unpalatable.
I am probably being a bit dramatic but I just can’t be bothered to watch it. I’m sure i will feel differently when the time comes but I've never felt so disenfranchised with the game. |  | | |  |

Looking forward to it. Love a world cup. Even though they have ruined the group stages that is my favourite part with all the different countries. Looks like one big party. Seeing the fans in their colours is always great. The orange of the Dutch, the green of the Irish, the yellow and blue of Sweden etc.
Always a bit disappointing when the group stages end. Feels a bit like the party is coming to an end. |

I’ve not seen a single minute of qualifying (I don’t think, although the Mrs always watches Welsh games so I may have seen something inadvertently, or maybe that was the other international tournament thingy. Fk knows). Anyway, I’ve not seen any of Tuchel’s England and doubt I’ll show much interest in the tournament. I may watch a bit of it’s on or the lad is watching. I enjoy football, so I’ll watch anything but couldn’t care who wins. I’ve never been that fussed about our national side except for Italia 90 which was immense. |  |

Not just you. I had priority to buy any England tickets I want, but after seeing the prices I ditched that idea, and now not even sure I will watch a single minute of it - so turned off by FIFA. It's as bad as the showbiz league here (I'm still not sure why I'm wanting Town to get promoted frankly given how boring it is up there). |

This stuff is all utter nonsense. I have criticised Trump on social media and had no issue travelling there in the summer.
