How does this get 70 downvotes. He is the manager. He is failing. Ultimately we wont go up automately and Im increasingly thinking we will fail in the play offs. That, with the resources to his disposal is poor. Very poor. We are getting to the sharp end of the season. There is less room for excuses. Less place to hide behind "Well we have only had 10 or so games to gel. "There is still lots of time and points to play for. Soon there will be nowhere to hide for McKennas failings. |

Because it is a dumb as fook opinion.
We are 4th in the league, realistically 3rd with 2 in hand on Millwall, we've lost 7 games all season, and regardless of perhaps performing a little below expectations the idea that we'd sack a manager in that situation is stupid beyond all comprehension.
Absolutely today was crap. Is the season below the level we'd hope for? Probably. But if we become a club who sack managers in this situation then it would make me very sad indeed.
If we want to talk about McKenna's future if we actually fail to get promoted then that is probably fair, but the OP is jus reactionary bollox, and I hoped our support was better than that. |  |

How many times gave other clubs sacked their managers whilst in a less advantageous position than we are currently in?
This forum them debate why the fcuk did they sack their manager? They still had a chance to reach the play offs/promotion!
Yet our own 'supporters' are calling for his head when we are still mathematically able to finish in the autos.
Does anyone really think that any manager would tell their players to give the ball away in a dangerous position, or get out of position when defending, or slip when looking to make a challange or any other thing that can happen when you are playing an actual game.
If nothing ever went wrong every game would end up 0-0.
The next time someone calls for the manager to be sacked could they please let everybody know which company they are a manager at so we can all critique the performance of their organisation. |
Indeed. I imagine any fan looking in from outside would think we’ve lost our mind to sack KM (and boot out Ashton too) while potentially 2 points off the autos with a better goal difference and 13 games to go. It would be a bigger feck up than the Greek fella at Forest firing his manager after securing European football.

Total professional, even though it was clear McK ditched him in the PL last season. Came on and scored at Bournemouth. I wonder what happened behind the scenes, first it was an “injury” and he was dropped, then his mum went on social media to say her son was fit and was not being played | | | |

Do you actually understand anything about how a club is run. How the teams (multiple) are coached. How players get selected, purchases, etc. Do you recognise that this is a process. Five years, ten, twenty. I had my gutfull of the "Paul's", the run down stadium, the dire football while a really good coach (Mccarthy) delayed our death by a thousand cuts.
We're top six while ex Prem clubs are struggling. I'll keep trusting the process. And to be quite honest I don't much enjoy the Prem.... so I'll just carry on watching, supporting and hoping. |  |

He was going to be left out of the PL squad had we signed Reiss Nelson on deadline day as he had refused a move elsewhere.
Wasn’t it actually McKenna who said he had been fit and training for weeks, just not making the first squad?

It does feel like the turnover of players end of season has cost us, along with some questionable recruitment.
