Coventry up now surely.

Us or Boro for second or should we include Hull and Millwall in that fight??

Yup Coventry gone now… had wobble now Wright/Rudoni in form on 21:55 - Feb 25 with 2525 viewsunstableblue

Hats off to them. Turned it round in that Boro game and found real form now.

Now have further winnable games.

Mason-Clarke and Sakamoto also key part of turnaround.

Need to just pile the pressure on Boro now.

Hard to see them dropping out of the top two with that nine point gap - you never know because Lampard is such an average manager and they almost all of their games left are top half teams, but it does seem unlikely.

Millwall just aren’t going away are they?

Think one of the chasing pack will replace Hull in the top six - possibly Saints

Nothing has changed. Still 11 points behind Cov. Win the 2 games in hand and we are 5 behind them. Realistic to catch over 12 games. More likely we get 4 points from the 2 games in hand and it's a 7 point gap. Still catchable.

The business end of the season is April. That will sort the men from the boys.

Easy to think they're up, but they were 5 points clear before and ended up briefly 2nd. Cov will have another wobble yet.

Lampard is far from an average manager.

i saw a post kicking about on twitter earlier, showing how far we were behind sheff weds after 33 games in L1. so whilst i dont want to say its over (just yet) i just dont think we have the ability to win as many games as required to overcome them.

Theyve been the best and most consistent team across the season to this point, fair play to them really.

thinking this earlier, out of the top 2 neither team have crap fans that make me dislike them, both decent clubs.

we wanted Wednesday to beat Barnsley as we thought Wednesday were too far away and Barnsley were a bigger threat.

Football is a funny old game.

Sheffield United is a game you have to win if you want to be promoted. They aren’t very good. Well done to Coventry and indeed Middlesbrough. We lost 3-1.

If that’s the case, why bother with the other 45 games, then.

Every team should just play at Bramall Lane, back to back, whoever wins the game by the most goals wins the league.

And likewise the heaviest loss to them at Bramall Lane means you’re relegated. Stoke City are currently the most vulnerable, having lost there 4-0 in December. They won’t even get the benefit of a Potteries derby either, given Port Vale are currently bottom of League One.

Some of you change your tune every week.

Remember the last time in the Championship, Leeds and Leicester both had collapses. We just need to keep winning and see what happens.

Failed everywhere he's been, usually with a very good squad.

He's doing okay, but he's managed to blow a massive points gap this season already.

Love it. We'd all save so much money. I would need to find something else to fill the gap of emotional trauma for the other 38 weeks though

Ah the Championship, it’s not even March. Some personal highlights of declarations in February;

- Boro are the best team, Champions elect
- Cov might not make the playoffs
- Norwich will make the playoffs
- Now the race for second

The good thing about the constant referendums on Cov and Boro’s fortunes is we are never counted out, or ever favorites to win it. We are just kind of there, not blowing anyone away but quietly consistent from a points perceptive, just with some horror shows thrown in. We have to make now our time and win 4 or 5 of the next 6! Then I think we are right where we need to be before Easter.

God I really hate Coventry and still wishing they'll have a massive implode. Their fan base is something incredibly speial, even by Leeds standards, and Lampard is a moaning Minnie. They are still whinging about us and how we have the eye f the officials in every game
Please let them drop away and we go uo with Boro who are a pretty normal team

I wouldn't rule out Millwall or Wrexham for a shot at 2nd along with Boro of course, which is why i keep banging on about "must win" against, Millwall, Hull and Boro. Do that and were in with a very good chance, dont and, well....

Leicester are kind of this seasons Coventry and the gap is too much. We can only Boro become the Leeds.

Did I imagine it, but were Coventry 15 16 points ahead of us earlier in the season? Still plenty of time for ups and downs. We just need to take care of our games, if we don't pick up the points it doesn't matter what anyone else does.

Failed everywhere? Everton would be his failure but he got Derby into the play offs in one season after years of them just missing out. Took Chelsea into the Champions League and FA Cup final and turned around Coventry’s season after Mark Robbins sacking and carried that form into this season.

With that Derby squad he should've won the league instead of squeaking into the play offs! Tomori, Mount, Harry Wilson, Lawrence, Huddlestone, Bogle just to name half the team - it was a ludicrous squad for the league.

Statisically, he's pretty much the worst chelsea manager ever, and his Everton tenure was absolute rubbish.

I just don't see it.

I'd go for Hull being the main danger if Boro are kicked out of the top two.
As I said before we need to keep the gap in goal difference or improve on it as we are five ahead of Boro and 17 ahead of Millwall. It may turn out to be all important.

This is some very specific and desperate narrative you're working on. Weird, but work away ba.
