| If we don't go up... 07:19 - Mar 11 with 2046 views | Zx1988 | I wonder how the club will try and justify the inevitable increase in ST prices. I wonder if they'll have the balls to suggest that the summer's list of transfer targets is 'scary', given how well that one worked last time around. | |

Not sure that list is going to stay at 6,000 for long if we don't go up, especially once they finally get around to telling people where they are in the queue. Given that, by design or coincidence, all new ST holders will have to be members, I imagine it's only a matter of time until a membership becomes a mandatory purchase for all STs, old or new.

That's probably the sad reality of it, as much as it feels contrary to what we consider to be the 'Ipswich Way'. Just because other clubs are absolutely rinsing their fans for STs, doesn't mean we should.

| If we don't go up... on 08:45 - Mar 11 with 1572 views | bsw72 | It's simple - all costs are going up, therefore ticket prices will go up - inflation, energy, salaries (non playing staff as well as players), insurance costs etc all are having an impact across our lives, why would the club be any different - it's not a non-profit organisation and the owners are in it as an investment. Combine that with supply vs demand - there's a waiting list of several thousand for season tickets, so the club can be confident that people will pay. Finally loyalty and the hope that this will be a great season and you won't want to miss out. | | | |

And the club has never been richer. I for one disbelieve the claim of 6000 on the waiting list. Just a ploy to increase the prices next season. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Eh? Completely different setup - Ashton did not lead the consortium as a primary investor - he is an appointed CEO with ownership sitting with the board and investors.

I'd be incredibly surprised if prices are frozen. Pleasantly surprised, but incredibly surprised nonetheless. £20 to a charity of your choice if prices do get frozen.

No-one is going to give up their ST while there is still a decent amount of demand for tickets and you can sell them on the ticket website. The ones that usually aren't taken for games are the restricted view ones which no ST holder will have. So really they can charge what they like within reason.
