Its not particularly shocking of the diminutive, pampered, multi millionaire Gen Z footballer Omari Hutchinson is it? Ginola was probably doing that 30 years ago. Might be a bit more surprising if it was a 1993 Gerry Taggart interview. I'd be more surprised if Hutchinson's kit bag didn't look like a Dior store room tbh.

Coming out with that comment in an interview is proper cringe though.

Does anyone really think that Julius Caesar delayed his crossing of the Rubicon to apply a little Nivea or Napoleon said ‘sorry I missed that bit of Waterloo when Ney charged the heavy cavalry at squares without infantry and artillery - I was having a face pack’.

Lots of grizzled old gits not appreciating how the yoot look after themselves these days.

And I say that as a grizzled old git who doesn't look after my skin.

I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun. I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.

Nothing wrong with it at all. I moisturise daily. But when your club has just lost away in a cup competition and are facing relegation I think it just gives the fans another reason to see an underperforming player as being a bit lightweight..

But why is he doing it before a match where it was forecast to rain, putting himself at a disadvantage and then openly admitting it after the match? Just comes across as brain dead.
