Well done to MA for sorting something out, but both Network Rail and Norfolk bobbies need their heads banging together imo.
The derby is a bit tasty, but they're making out like it's the bad old days still.

All very sensible. No restrictions at all, effectively.

Can imagine there will be people drive in early and try get a pub as has happened in previous years.

Much better than originally planned but don't really understand why tickets have to be collected seeing as you can get there how you want now. If it is a requirement of the police for some reason then well done to the club for not making it a full bubble.

As somebody who lives up north, this is a huge relief (and a surprise).

No, not at the moment

If anything surely it would’ve been easier to police by sending out tickets the usual way.

The way it is you’re going to have large gatherings of people in a few places in Norwich now.

£11 for a return from Thetford on the train seems like the option we'll go with. Seems reasonable to me.

That's my thinking, fail to understand the logic here. Any errors with anyone's ticket being in the wrong designated area will be problematic.

What the usual unofficial away pub for this game?

I won't say it on here but I'd be surprised if it's allowed as a) it kicked off a bit on the escort last time and b) the ticket collection point is the other side of the stadium from where that is located (probably deliberately).

I give Ashton plenty of grief on here (and will continue to do so) - but that's actually a pretty reasonable end result.

Still overly paranoid from the absolutely useless Norfolk plod, but not desperately unreasonable, either.

Please try not to kick all the urinals off the walls in the away end, Sitters.

Seems totally mental and just an unnecessary pressure for the clubs, the fans, and those four sites where people will gather.

But it does discourage, almost eliminate, passing tickets on...

Interestingly if you're on a rail replacement bus then can see no reason why drinking alcohol would be illegal, unlike the official coaches from Portman Rd.

Rail replacement users can also choose to leave and return as they see fit.

(I'll be likely on 2 wheels so won't be drinking anyway)

Perhaps they'll march everyone in groups from Option 4 to the ground?... I only hope I can get back the same way.

Already booked in for Friday night as Norwich is an @rse to get to from the north.

That’s ’technically’ illegal as well isn’t it?

Not allowed to drink on the train/bus if you’re on the way to a sporting event? (Football)

But obviously it’s never policed 100%

Nope. The law.applies to trains (and coaches) that are only going to the footie.

Is why you can drink on any train these days, the football specials being long gone.

That’s pure Coca-Cola in that bottle, honest.

Couldn’t believe my eyes last week on the coach to Stoke, a couple of lads cracked open a couple of beers each on the way, crime of the century.
