He’s an inverse canary* isn’t he? Got to love him though *in the coal mine sense; I wouldn’t be cruel enough to compare him to one of THEM *spits in a spittoon*

Is Farage playing for us? Your point makes no sense. I’m not a Farage fan, far from it, just think a lot has been made of this.

It’s less the fact he was at the ground, it’s more that the club have actively been involved with him being at the ground as he represents a set of political views which go against what I feel a community club should stand for. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

A wolf in sheep's clothing, as close as we have to a modern day Hitler (whom he was rather a fan of in his youth many of his former classmates will advise). An obnoxious, racist and trump friendly Muppet. Why the hell would be ok with it.

Because some things are more important than football itself. If you wouldnt want Greenwood playing for town that means there are more important things than football to you. So you shouldn't begrudge others feeling the same in regards to this.

With it being rubbed in by seeing Reform plaster their social media with our shirt in front of our branding giving the impression we’re an official Reform sponsor. I don’t mind if people don’t care, that’s up to them. But anyone telling the rest of us who do care to shut up can fook right off. Ips..something did his/her best today to say we shouldn’t be mean to those appeasing hatred on our streets. I’ve tried today to not call anyone the c word lol, but the number of people popping up saying what we can or can’t do is testing my patience. I thought this lot liked free speach - I wish they’d make up their minds!

“Freedom to not care about politics”. Everything that happens in life is political. Not caring isn’t a privilege, it’s showing you actually don’t care about anything but don’t even realise it. I feel sorry for you and people who come out with this nonsense.

I do wonder if the same people would feel the same way if it had been Jeremy Corbyn instead. Or Zak Polanski.

I'd never vote Reform in a million years. But surely a community club can only really be a community club if it doesn't stand for one type of political party against another? I appreciate that part of the problem here is said to be that they have allied themselves to a party, or at least coordinated with that party. But however valid that criticism, I think there would be a big problem if football clubs actively started standing for political views. People are diverse. Most anti-Faragians see that, and like it, support it. But a diversity of political views is just as valid and to be protected as any other diversity. So I think the problem here is the club /not/ staying apolitical. The last thing they should do is starting to stand for political views.

But the club does actively promote inclusivity, and hosting Reform goes against that. And part of promoting tolerance and inclusivity is not promoting those who are intolerant. You can't respect diversity of political views and actual diversity when some of those political views show disdain for diversity.

It's not though is it, it's even made The Times this morning. Whether or not you're bothered by Farage being at ITFC, or only interested in the football, surely you can see what a bad look this is for the club?
| I couldn’t give a toss which public figures are at our ground. on 08:40 - Mar 25 with 854 views | oncebluealwaysblue | The bed wetting by some has been laughable. Is it the best look from the club? No. Will there be mixed views? Yes. Will the club learn lessons from it? Most likely. Will it ultimately effect the outcome of the season? Absolutely not. Bring on Brum at home. | | | |

Have a little Google at some of the stories about Farage's past - his personal life and not his political career. Now tell me with a straight face that he is someone who represents this football club's values and should be platforming.

Why the deflection? You made the statement that you wouldn't care about any figure being at the club so the poster made a hypothetical away from the current Farage incident to test you conviction to that statement yet you deflected back to garage. It makes it appear that you are not sincere about your own position and it's actually that you are a reform supporter and are unhappy about the rightful push back against your parties horrible grifter of a leader.

If I was a player in the squad my enthusiasm for this season would definitely go down. Playoffs are certain now and in-form/tough to beat teams like Southampton, Wrexham and Millwall would destroy us in the semi finals.
