That in itself makes me angry. There was no need for this to happen. Apologies for yet another thread. [Post edited 26 Mar 23:59]

Let hope someone is fist pumping at carrow road in 15 days time after whatever happens here in the next week or so.

A large part of this is down to Farage - and it's exactly his MO. A salient lesson for a lot of people. All it was, on the face of it, was 'man goes on football stadium tour' but look at the carnage it's created. Astonishing really.

Are you purposefully being blind in this? Why are you still running with 'it was just a tour' or am I misunderstanding your view? Are you genuinely not seeing an issue with Ashton and co inviting him to lunch Telling lies to local media partners Sending out a lie in official club statement Gifting 6 free shirts to a politician Providing approval for a political party to use club branding in commercial activity Causing issues internally within staff players and potentially sponsors. You honestly see all of the above as just someone going on a tour? [Post edited 27 Mar 7:46]

You’ve been wide of the mark all week on this unfortunately. This is very much a Mark Ashton mess-up which he should fully own.

Flash has got a point to a degree. Farage corrupts everything he comes into contact with and I doubt any other party head would have turned us into effectively their corporate sponsor. But of course Ashton should have known better.

How does one know if he did or did not get permission for this from our American owners ? Has anyone tried to find out !
| So much division amongst ITFC supporters that wasn't there just a few days ago on 08:08 - Mar 27 with 252 views | Butterbing | One of my problems is that if there is this level of division among the fanbase then there is quite likely division amongt the staff (there is according to the Athletic) and worse still division in the dressing room (which exists according to the Guardian). At this point in the season the players, staff and fanbase should all be pulling in the same direction. It's astonishly shortsighted, embarrassing and disappointing. | | | |

Because it wouldnt matter if he did or didn't. Altho not doing so would have been worse anyway But lets say he did. Hes still the man in charge of the club and oversees what happens inside it. He should have kept well away from it. So even if he obtained their approval it doesnt make what he did right.

But had it either have been Farage truly milking us and booking a private tour as initially suggested or Town did have a part in it but gave a robust statement/apology early on this could have very much been yesterdays news by now. The scandal is not so much that Farage was here but that the CEO facilitated it, lied about it (both internally and externally) and still hasn’t taken a crumb of responsibility for it.

I guess that's natural on a football forum, but there is definitely a split on here. This episode has clearly highlighted this divide even further. Nice cat though. [Post edited 27 Mar 8:36]
