Against this my next comment may seem shallow but going to games is one of the real highlights of my week. No. The events of this week are shameful, but like thousands of others I was here before him and I'll be here long after.
Football was ruined years ago by sky money, super inflated wages and TV endorsement of cheating as 'finding a way to be a winner' and a ridiculous re-writing of history as to what makes supporters tick - I don't gurn at my TV whilst ordering a pizza to be delivered at half time and hysterically calling a phone in for an argument with Robbie Savage. I don't have an up to date shirt.
As a young man I worked abroad and endured the nick name 'hooligan' for years. I've never been in a fight at a football match, that's never been my motivation.

Depends on how it impacts on the fanbase.
If away games turn in to constant Farage chants from opponents fans with some of our fans responding in pro stuff, then fights in the stand and then more pro Farage chants and then anti Farage chants. I think I would stop going to away games. That is my worry that this will have irreparable damage among the fanbase.
Which in itself is the problem. This is what Farage does and it should have been obvious to those at the top that this is what would happen. A completely divided fanbase in a time where the fans were already a bit tetchy.

Values and how we treat each other, how we go about what we do define us.
As a Club we have clearly espoused values and an ethos.
I believe they are important. Part of our success since MA has come in is to do with what the Club has done to rebuild li ks with fans and the wider community.
How we are successful is as important as being successful. |  |
