A section of our fans, the sort who say "keep politics out of football" when they see players taking the knee, think it's all a "storm in a teacup"

They are entitled to their views, views I don't agree with.

Others are simply disliking of change or of conflict, which I understand in part. To them I just say sometimes you need to crack some eggs to make an Omelette. If you are believing Ashton is divisive and has caused damage to our club, how can you want him to stay in place?

People get there in their own time but the feelings of many are crystal clear. He has shown himself to be both incompetent and lacking integrity and honesty. For many that is enough to want rid.

Absolutely, but sponsors, players and staff are stakeholders* too.

(Use of the stakeholder used with ironic intent)

One line I really liked from him was something a long the lines of 'doing the right things when nobody is looking'.

Complete boll@cks wasn't it.

Not only an Omelette requires cracking eggs - fried and poached also require the same initial action.

Hasn’t lost me either.

He did make a big error though.

But has apologised.

SOME fans, not THE fans.

Massive difference.

I appreciate that its impossible for many of the main antagonists on the board to understand that other people might think differently to them, but I'm afraid its true.

Show me where he apologised for his wrongdoing?

Or indeed showed any remorse at all for it (rather than at being caught).

Was that an apology? You obviously have a pretty low bar for what is deemed as an apology. The essential core of an apology is for a real genuine sense of being sorry. In this, Ashton has failed miserably.

Only the same few that keep banging on about it. No one outside this forum gives a damn. Most supporters don’t give two hoots. Stop exaggerating it for something it isn’t.

Talk about wetting the bed! A real supporter has blue blood running through them and if you have supported the Town like me for 50 years I find it hard to believe how anyone can give up your support. It’s not the club at fault. The players and manager still deserve your support man, grow up for Christ sake.

I have no issue with you feeling differently from me. That is entirely within your right. I would only ask that you extend the same courtesy to me, and if you were to chose to engage on the actual concerns raised, you would do so in good faith.

Apart from the millions of impression on Reddit, YT, BBC, ITV, CH4 and any other platform that's covered or hosted it.

Get it through your skull that just because there are a band of active posters on here that isn't the limit of people who care. There are hundreds of readers and lurkers here as well as thousands and thousands elsewhere.

So saying nobody outside this forum gives a damn makes you pretty ignorant...how can you think or say that?

If it’s any consolation, whatever happens or doesn’t happen with him at/not at ITFC now, his rep as a trustworthy, competent CEO/senior exec with integrity in any organisation, is completely tarnished - and I think he knows that - look at his face - absolutely haggard, almost in his boots.

What he cares about most - his professional and personal reputation - is gone.

Principles matter in life. For the the 37 years I’ve supported the club mine have never been compromised by that support, until the chairman took it upon himself to use the club as a stage to promote the far right. I cannot support an institution that allows itself to be used in that manner. I’m totally gutted. Supporting ITFC is part of my identity, but some things are bigger than football.

I've been a supporter for sixty three years and can understand Blueschev's stance. Not one I'm fully with at the moment but yesterday afternoon I did take down my wide angle poster of the stadium from the Walsall game in 2000 (7th May, attendance 21898 and I've never had a problem with it showing Wayne Brown's name and signature) from the wall where it was put up when I moved in twelve and a half years ago. The replica share certificate signed by Sheepy, Joe Royle and Jim Magilton is off the wall too. Debating whether to put them back up in the light of Ashton's supine confession.

But I do beat you at how long have I been a supporter top trumps...

For the most part it’s true. People are NOT talking about it. People glance at a few tweets etc,but it’s not creating the headlines you make out. It’s mainly living rent free in peoples heads on here.
