That’s mental from Southampton by SuffolkPunchFC 7 Apr 22:28Our points return would have to take a downward turn that we haven’t seen since the start of the season to be caught by Southampton. If they win all games left they hit 84, so we need 12 points from 7 games.
If you look at our points return on a rolling 7 game run, our worse return is 10 from the first 7 games of the season. Since Oct/Nov we’ve returned 13-16 points from every 7 games, except once when it was 12. And before then we were mostly returning 12-13.
The average 7 game points haul from Oct/Nov has been 14.5
We need to become much worse than we’ve been for over 6 months to not hit 84+ points. Of course it’s possible, but given our consistency it seems unlikely.

Not sure but they are the form team have 4 at home and the 2nd place teams have been bottling it for weeks, just making a point they could sneak it and have to be considered a threat. If we can avoid defeat to them it should be enough to put them out of it, they remind me a bit of Forest when they went up. | |

Looking at the table you'd have to be optimistic, however, factor in recent performances, busy schedule, 5 away and the pessimistic view kicks in.
