| Our manager next season on 07:27 - Apr 22 with 2721 views | ITFC_Forever | I have a feeling that KMc will leave in the summer…. But if we can keep him, it will be best piece of business we can do, as it has been for the last for summers. If he does go, who we get after that, I don’t know. Rosenior would be a candidate, but he’s losing credibility very fast at Chelsea after a good start. Maybe Carrick if he doesn’t get the Man Utd job, but that’s probably only realistic if we go up. I’ve always thought Potter would be a good fit for us, but he’s back in Scandinavia now.. | |

Carrick would be a good candidate, is he not BFF with McKenna?

Rosenior has had a shocker, but Chelsea is a graveyard for Managers, yes, you get all the riches, but from a career perspective it's not a great gig.

Looks at the team (and bench) - for all the money they've spent, I wouldn't say it is a particuarly talented or coherent squad. I'm sure Rosenior isn't blameless... but Maresca had won something like 1 game in 7 before he left too. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

I’d expect us to go for a highly intelligent, up and coming manager. Mousinho fits the description.

I've been impressed with Mousinho. He speaks very well, like McKenna. And seems to be able to change tactics and formation, which KMcK is reluctant to do. I hope we keep McKenna, but if he goes.....

I thought for a while it might be OGS - good mates with KmC and out of work ? Maybe not .....
| Our manager next season on 10:29 - Apr 22 with 1998 views | jayessess | Because we think about it a lot I think we overestimate how likely it is that a Premier League club takes a manager from another English club. On the 20 managers currently working in the Premier League there's only one who was acquired that way (Rob Edwards). The rest were free agents at time of appointment (14) or in post in an overseas top division (5). There also generally aren't that many Summer managerial vacancies and one has already gone (because they appointed an out of work manager with extensive top flight experience overseas!). Chance he gets a serious offer to leave are pretty small. | |

Rodgers is apparently on a deal worth in excess of £8m a season over in Saudi, and is seemingly doing pretty well over there. I can't see that he'd want to jack that in after 6 months. Especially as when he does decide to leave he'll have his pick of mid-level Prem sides. Highly unlikable guy but you can't overlook his successes, got Swansea promoted, nearly won the PL with Liverpool and won the FA Cup with Leicester, and that's without his massive Celtic haul. We could do much worse.

It is but he's done a couple of things there, like his substitutions, sending players on in injury time with like 5mins worth of instructions, the whole respect the ball huddle thing, some of his answers in press conferences make me wonder at least if he needs a less pressure role to gain more experience first. He seemed to be struggling in the role more than just results arent going well way, and clearly quickly lost the board and players backing
