Spending close to £20m on Egeli seems like a more bizarre decision by the day, to my mind. Surely there would have been a proven striker in Europe we could have got for that instead. |  |

Coventry bought him for 3million from West Brom
One of the few Albion players we havnt shown an interest in.

Sure I read somewhere, that we approached him in January but the player was more inclined to stay at Oxford as he was starting every game as opposed to rotating with us. Highly rate the player, strong, holds the ball up and reasonably good at finishing. | | | |

It’s a great result for us and Coventry. Leaves Wrexham leaving points on last game against Middlesbrough or sweating it as both Hull and derby can over take if they don’t - at least one had game for the other potential team that could leap frog us - admittedly Millwall are the major concerns but with the town it’s always the hard way - draw again Southampton then sweating

Whatever happens in the next 6 days there should be major inquest about our recruitment (again).
I really hope there is going to be a new plan in place whether we go up or not but it concerns me that someone with basically just Oxford and Bristol City on their CV could be in charge of PL money again after what I’ve seen in the last two years.
