Yep, their actual policy.

“In order to deport all illegal migrants in Britain, Reform will need to detain tens of thousands at a time.

Migrants will not be able to leave these detention centres, and each will be held there a couple of weeks before being deported.

So here’s our promise:

A Reform government will not put any migrant detention facilities in any constituency with a Reform MP.

Nor will we put them where Reform controls the council.

And of the remaining areas, we will prioritise Green controlled parliamentary constituencies and Green controlled councils to locate the detention centres.

Put simply, if you vote in a Reform council or Reform MP, we guarantee you won’t have a detention centre near you.“

Anyone who's thinking of voting for these Nazi-wannabees really needs to start listening to their consciences. That's what they are there for. We're all human beings.

There are ways to solve problems other than destroying the very social fabric of our country in some juvenile, ridiculous, half-witted 1930s re-enactment.

Reform are traitors.

I'm quite surprised that this hasn't garnered any downvotes.

It also gives me a little bit of hope, and I'm happy to say I feel a lot of respect for anybody who's been tempted by Reform and is now turning away from them.

We can all work together.

Good work by Philogene...... GREAT WORK BY PHILOGENE!!!

This from their website.

"Reform will abolish ILR and rescind existing awards."

The fact though is that things like this and much of what they plan to do depends on leaving the ECHR and other international treaties but I don't think they are going to get this through without the use of the Parliament Act because the Lords aren't going to play ball. And even then I think the courts will still cause problems with what they propose because it appears to go against the tenets of the common law.

Putting it another way, I don't think they will be able to do much of what they promise (and certainly not at speed), but that isn't really the point because the message is all that really matters for them and their supporters.

I've noticed that Restore are going for the even more politically-illiterate voter by repeatedly promising that everything will be done on 'day 1' of a Restore government, and they will make things illegal retrospectively and punish people who did those things when they were legal.

Also completely agree with the earlier comment about a large amount of bed shitting going on due to the rise in the popularity of the Greens. Echoes of about ten years ago when it looked like a bit of social democracy might be more than just a pipe dream.

Yes, it's astonishing the way that the entire political and media establishment turn on and smear something that before Thatcher had pretty much cross-party support, and is the norm in much of western Europe.

And here's today's helping of the Mail's Green Menace campaign which in my view is pandering to racism.

Excellent film. A very young Tom Hiddleston makes a brief cameo.

As to the OP, a policy that clearly is unworkable, but when you are playing to the culture wars and targeting the 'own the libs' demographic, I have no doubt it will be depressingly effective.

It is depressingly predictable too.

The courts will block it and we'll be back to judges being the 'enemy of the people' again

Green voters should be pleased with this policy.

Everyone's a winner here, no?

"Refugees welcome", or maybe not it seems.

Exactly, and as has been discussed it's the way that reform, or any populist supporters get switched on to a new target with absolutely zero original thought that is the huge red flag here.

Greens are bad. Okay. Got it. They want to hug 'illegals'. Got it. Give them 2 or 3 soundbites and they're away, happily adding another group to the list of undesirables to be attacked and treated differently.

The jackboot is stomping away in full view now – unfortunately a fair % of the population can't get enough of it and even more are oblivious to what it will mean. It's a killer combination that is going to drive us into the abyss.

It’s unbelievably transparent isn’t it. It’s so obvious what’s happening, but they jump anyway. It’s probably not all about the threat from the Greens, as immigration through regular and irregular channels is plummeting. They need to find a new bogey man or at least re-frame the threat from immigration as a hypothetical again rather than real (echoes of 80million Turks flooding our shores).

(That’s not to say we shouldn’t test and challenge the policies and approach of the Greens, or any other party, but critical thinking about policies is most definitely not what’s going on here!).

There is a line in Revenge of the Sith, where Padme (Luke and Leia's mum) says "so this is how liberty dies, with thunderous applause", and i think it nails what happened in America, and what I fear will happen here.

Some of what happened in Andor had quite eerie parallels to current affairs in the USA, didn't it?

Ignoring the fact, for a moment, that this is pathetic puff and bluster...

Would voters not be more likely to end up with detention centres with a Reform-controlled council, rather than Green?

Detention centres would require planning, which is dealt with at County level. Which planning committee would be more likely to grant permission for a detention centre? One with a Reform majority, or one controlled by the Greens?

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

Look, mate, can you and your facts stay out of it please. The Greens want to hug illegals. What part of that didn't you understand? They need to be punished before wokeness is compulsory. Fact. End of.
