I'm not sure many think he'd be a bad signing per se. I think almost everyone would be happy if he was signed, but he comes with cost implications, team implications etc and some feel overall it might be better to let it lie and look elsewhere. Largely irrelevant as he's being linked with bigger clubs than us. |  | | |

I might be being harsh, but the Eredivisie really doesn't seem to be what it once was and I worry that if we go for him it'll end up the same way it seems to do for a lot of players going from Eredivisie to the PL.
Maybe I'm just remembering the flops though. [Post edited 8 May 9:24]

I'm in the 'not convinced' camp.
Yes he was excellent in the first 5 months of tbe prem season, but he really wasn't on it the 2nd half. Hasn't exactly ripped it up this season. Doubt thats all Chelsea's fault.
He's big and strong and a decent pace, but a year ago he was being ripped as Kane's successor - I don't hear much of that now, which tells me he's gone backwards. |  |

The same could be sent about most of our players in 2024/25. First part of the decent generally decent even though results didn't go out way. The second part, bar a couple.of exceptions, was disastrous. | |

Other than La Liga and the Bundesliga, the difference in level is always going to be something to worry about in recruitment. Eredivisie probably a notch below Ligue Un and Serie A but as reliable a source of players as any other league. |  |
