| IVAN AZON on 21:13 - May 14 with 2649 views | Swansea_Blue | End of loan and I very much hope we’ll be looking for better for next season. We’re bound to be when you consider Delap was the level last time and we want to recruit better than last time. | |

I'd take Azon if the price is right. Certainly not for the £10m originally quoted last season but around £4m. He does a lot right but I appreciate he's terrible in front of goal. It feels like there's a lot of room for development in him though and someone who causes a lot of problems for defenders.

| IVAN AZON on 21:36 - May 14 with 2415 views | SitfcB | He definitely got better as the season went on, he should have had a few more goals, there were 3/4 wonder saves from ‘keepers. That 1v1 against Norwich should’ve gone in, wish it had. Could be a cheap option for the bench. He’ll fit in in the Premier League with all the rolling about | |

Odd take, very clearly a player there, if he could improve his finishing would be worth a great deal of cash. I suppose a lot would come down to price, would have to represent that he is some way off finished article and how coachable he is as his finishing is way below standard at present.

| IVAN AZON on 22:17 - May 14 with 2208 views | Mookamoo | I really like him, but he is not what we need next year. He will bounce around Spain and Italy for a bit, and then I'm convinced we'll see him in the PL having a stella 20 goal season for someone like Fulham in 2031. Unfortunately we can't wait that long for him to come good. | | | |

Is he going to go from missing numerous quality chances in the championship to converting a higher percent from fewer chances in a tougher league? That seems unlikely even though a full pre season and more time working with KM will help him improve.

Think I would at that price. Clearly not a premium player yet but as a squad option, work on him he might be one that could be decent player for us.
| IVAN AZON on 01:25 - May 15 with 1734 views | Westcountryblue | He needs to be playing a ton of football right now to ensure he continues developing. Wouldn't be against us signing him relatively cheaply and then stick him out on loan. He has the makings of a very good player, but a little too raw at present. | | | |
| IVAN AZON on 01:46 - May 15 with 1703 views | Joey_Joe_Joe_Junior | No chance I should imagine but I’m sure he gained a lot of valuable experience and enjoyed his time here which should serve him well. Will be interesting to keep tabs on his career. | |

In terms of his effort you can't fault the guy, he has some neat tricks, touches and passes but his two biggest weaknesses are not scoring and going to ground. Against better and stronger defenders sadly he will be way out of his depth in the PL. A real shame as there's a lot to like about him but the brutal truth is he's not a PL player.

I don't think that's impossible at all. It's not like teaching someone a new skill - the sort of skills that are best learned at a younger age, he's got them already - it's more that he's got some bad habits when it comes down to the moment of contact with the ball. Getting rid of those bad habits is a task, but it's something that can be done if approached in the right way and with the right attitude. He seems like he's got an excellent attitude - invariably positive even when things aren't going well. I definitely want us to keep him and get KMc and the coaches to work their magic on getting rid of the bad habits.

| IVAN AZON on 07:41 - May 15 with 1202 views | Guthrum | Seems a good guy, worked hard for the team, but would be quite surprised if he was back here next season. Similar to Kieffer Moore in 2024. Edit: Mind you, I'm equally unsure on George Hirst's future at the club. [Post edited 15 May 7:46]

| IVAN AZON on 08:44 - May 15 with 1017 views | Wright1 | I can't believe anyone would even take him for the bench next season. We aren't going to get enough chances at the level to have a bloke score what was it? 6% of his shots or whatever it was. Not even a bench option for me, sorry. Seems like a lovely and likeable bloke and I thank him for his effort this season... but onwards and upwards. | | | |
| IVAN AZON on 11:10 - May 15 with 800 views | ghostofescobar | I like a lot about him. Good work rate, gives defenders something to think about, pulls them out of position, decent first touch, gets in good goal scoring positions. The thing that worries me is that despite an entire season both playing and being coached, his finishing didn’t improve, at all. Can’t see how he’s going to fare any better against defenders in the “best” league in the world. I’d potentially keep him as a third choice behind two new, better quality, strikers, but guess Hirst will get that position, and I can’t see Azon will want a season with very little playing minutes. | |

Some people seem to forget how much a step up the PL is. He's certainly not ready for that. Not even as a bench option.
| IVAN AZON on 12:07 - May 15 with 687 views | mellowblue | On a one way flight back to Como. He will leave us with fond memories, both ways, I am sure, but we need better, not a work in progress if we have any ambition at staying up. | | | |
| IVAN AZON on 12:08 - May 15 with 682 views | SonOfSpock | Load will expire and hopefully we wont take things any further. Full of endeavor , but ultimately not good enough. | | | |
| IVAN AZON on 12:17 - May 15 with 651 views | hype313 | Loved his work ethic, but his conversion rate was poor, if we we're having another Championship stint then potentially, but not in the PL for me. It would be like going to a gun fight with a pen knife. | |
