I know police have a very tough job and face all kinds of danger and abuse on a daily basis. And I know a two minute video doesn’t give full context of what happened, but I can’t comprehend how the officers are so casual with a man saying he’s been stabbed and can’t breathe.

it's the "I don't think you have mate" comment that's so heartbreaking. there's more than one officer there, one could check him out whilst the other carried on with the procedural stuff.

Interesting that Hampshire police commissioner can acknowledge that “the details of the police response raises serious concerns about police impartiality, fairness and judgement"

Probably because every other bloke they arrest makes complaints of a similar nature. They get hardened to it, regrettably.
The facts are it was a horrific murder incorporating deeply awful cowardly lies to the police to distract from the injuries of a severely wounded man. The police did not respond to his saying he couldn't breathe and had been stabbed as they should have.
Any rage/anger should not be aimed at the assailant's race or religion but at the individual. The police have to deal with all sorts of situations that most of us would never dream of. As has been said they must become hardened to all kinds of situations and people. This is not an excuse, a tragic mistake was made, but their job is not easy. Anyone, a la Farage, who sees the incident not as a tragedy but an opportunity to further hatred and division is scum.
Im not going to watch the video, so apologies for ignorance, but can i just ask what makes this horrible murder a turning point in your view? Are you saying the police could have saved the victim if they'd not initally believed the attacker?
A turning point for our public institutions where a fear of being seen as racist is worse than stopping brutal murders of innocent people.
See the Manchester Areana bombing. See the Southport murders. See the Nottingham murders. See Muslim rape gangs. See yesterday's footage.
Official police guidance says that situations should be handled differently depending on the ethnicity of the victim. This has to be the end of this madness.
Nobody can say for sure if Henry could have been saved. However, the last moment of his life he was being called a liar by the institution that should have helped him. Imagine for a moment what that must of felt like for Henry, and his poor family.

Does it? That is shocking, if true. What do the guidelines actually say?

I appreciate the answer mr.
Has anyone ever looked at their own postings for last day or so? Oh my... so sorry. Was Ullaa
So someone whose job it is to criticise the government just said something without any factual evidence behind it whatsoever and you're now claiming it's true and repeating it?
I'm not apologising for something I just heard in Parliament.
You are making a positive and very serious assertion, designed to whip up division and racial hatred. You can't even quote it. Haven't checked it and have said it twice.
British values indeed. Fairness and integrity are fundamental in my view, to British values. Perhaps its time to stop taking your lead from bigots.

you should apologise if you're spreading lies and disinformation especially if they incite racial hatred.
remember that the shadow hs in question tweeted “Great to see sterling strengthening on the back of the new UK Growth plan” when the truss/kwarteng budget was unveiled. the exact opposite happened. he is not a reliable source.
take a look at bsw72's post for the true picture on police guidelines

It’s not true though, and Mahmood should know better or you may be misunderstanding or misrepresenting her. All public bodies have a statutory requirement to provide services fairly and without discrimination under the Equality Act 2010. So in the case of the police’s treatment of victims, that means all victims are entitled to the same standard of investigation, care and safeguarding, regardless of their ethnic background. It’s a principle enshrined in UK Law.
