yep, that's my point, the lack of any adults above him to rein him in and guide him is the biggest problem we have
Have you thought about supporting teams with CEO's who have had more success building culture, hiring managers, increasing commercial revenues and delivering success on the pitch over the last 5 years?
Here is a list for you:

yes, doubt the personal relationship is the issue, though the change in the professional relationship may have been a contributing factor.
he may well have been upset by the gaffes caused by ma trying to do 2 jobs poorly, but the main issue would have been the distraction from his job at critical times.
also, the fact ashton was taking on too much and making mistakes impacted the amount of time he was able to support km, meaning more landed on his head.
Farage-gate aside, what gaffes have been caused by Ashton trying to do 2 jobs poorly?
And define poorly.
Don't cry because it's over; smile because it happened.

No. I tried that, and you can't. You can't even really pause it, when you start it again, it just goes back to the live feed, doesn't restart from where you paused.
You can, I just did it - scrolled back to the start of it

Have you any evidence for any of your post or is it just your interpretation (‘doubt, may, may, could’ with the aim of sticking the boot in on Ashton because you don’t like him?
As I’ve asked others who have taken this line, have you met him? If so what’s he like?

I mean you could have just waited and watched the 10 or so min interview before being critical but suspect that's not really why you are ranting that he took the time out of the recruitment process that only he is working on.
Interview all seems reasonable and actually building positive relationships with the media and people who can be influential is all part of what he should be doing. I think without him having a good relationship with SJ he could have really torn into MA and Ipswich for this but he didn't. We don't want to be part of anymore negative memes and headlines which could easily be the case if SJ had humiliated him.

judging on results, when he was doing one job, he did it well.
when he took on a 2nd, gaffes started to appear.
do you think a club in 2026 should be without a ceo, a director of football/technical director?
do you think it wise that a prem club should have so much power concentrated in the hands of one man, who has no track record at this level?
do you think it's wise that a self-confessed workaholic is allowed to take on more work without oversight that he's previously had?

I think the structure is wrong and we should have separate CEO and Chairman but isn't that more on the owners/Gamechanger to see that and put something in place more than MA? I hope to god it it one of the things Gamechanger will be correcting whilst over in the UK as they must have seen the difference before and after taking on 2 roles.

I've been very clear about my feelings towards the man, but I don't think our signings have been particularly poor. The task was to go back up at the first attempt with more solid foundations than in the summer of 2024. So in that respect it's mission accomplished. Our transfer business has not been perfect, but the proof is in the pudding and we finished in the top two, not outside the top six.

I think he spoke quite well and there was not too much to read from the interview. Simon and Jim were fairly balanced with their questions and Brad was honest in his bewilderment of him leaving. Not many leave like that and he just wondered why. A bit like I did. It's just a reaction to an unormal situation.

I have already made it crystal clear that as the club grows its management structure will need to change/evolve.
But what is the structure now? We have owners 5000 miles away. They’re the ones with the money. The main contact I believe is Scwartz. What does he do? Who does MA report to? How many calls does Ashton get from his paymasters a day? Any?
Ashton is responsible for the day to day operation of the club as I understand it. Does he run around the country flat cap, dinky beard and coffee cup in hand scouting and doing a deal here and there? You tell me. People keep banging on about O’Leary. Yes, it seems he was a sounding board, albeit rarely there. Is that role performed by Scwartz, the man in the mirror or the mascot? I don’t know.
You talk about gaffs. Let’s be honest what you really mean is Farage. Since that plenty on here are looking at every chink to stick the boot in.
ITFCs structure beneath Ashton looks fine to me. How and to who he reports, the finance side I have no idea. You seem to know so perhaps you can lay it out.
What I do know is Gamechanger and the CEO have employed one manager to date. Between the lot of them they’ve achieved three promotions, filled the ground, cleaned and developed it, achieved Cat 1 status, built a training ground, engaged with the community, improved the value of a £40m club ten fold, signed and sold players for sums we could only dream of ten years ago.
I don’t know what your expectations were in 2021. Mine were at the time survival of a club which was dying. Maybe Championship one day and some of the rusting seat supports in GG replaced. To say they’ve exceeded what I hope for is the understatement of the year. Many people deserve credit for that - especially McKenna but including the CEO too.
Yet a serious percentage of this forum are still unhappy, still moaning. Nothing in life is perfect and neither are people. I’m a bit bemused as to what people want.

the actual transfers are hit and miss since twojobgate;
however, the issues for me are the reactive nature of it, which effectively gave boro a 9 point headstart before mckenna had the tools he needed.
also, blabbing that he'd put lots of names to mckenna, but he didn't what any of them should stay behind closed doors, unprofessional and undermining to km

You may think it's ridiculous - I know your opinion is naive.
Raising the clubs profile is part of his job - he has trashed it with his obvious political leanings. You think that was good PR?
Signings...you must think he's made a lot of good ones, if not good...profitable. List more than 4 in the past 3 windows please
[Post edited 12 Jun 13:37]
My opinions naive? Yours are off the chart silly.
And you didn't even read my post properly before responding because you asked me a question on something I already put in my post. He made a terrible judgement/mistake. We are agreed on that. But that's got nothing to do with the silly post and points you are making.
I shouldn't get involved in your ridiculous antics but on the signings given we have had 3 promotions in 4 years I think we can safely say recruitment has been successful (demonstrably). Profit wise you can always be 💯 on that when you sell...seem to have done alright by Delap/Omari/Broadhead/Woolfy sales (I know Woolfy wasn't his acquisition but hard to question the fee he negotiated).
In last 3 windows Azon, Jaden, Nunez, Mehmeti, Azon values have all increased. Furlong and Kipre were also good signings whose values won't increase by virtue of their age.
Stop using your hatred of his (presumably by his mistake) to drive poor arguments.

what "a serious percentage of this forum" see is a poorer structure than we had in league one, even though we're now in the prem.
what "a serious percentage of this forum" want is for that structure to be improved and to be brought into line with 21st century prem clubs
ashton without guard rails is a serious risk to our prem status.
