If not can you give me a way that I can hide them? Quite honestly I’m sick and tired of coming on to this site and forum to get my Ipswich town news, insights, and discussions that is now being highjacked by people’s political persuasions. Thanks from Sweden, Uppa Town!!

| FAO PHIL on 16:50 - Jun 13 by AdrianPazDidUseDAZ | FWIW I’ve been a long term lurker and no I don’t post much. I moved to Sweden 5 years ago and whilst I miss going regularly home and away through our rapid rebirth I’m probably able to watch more games than ever. This site is one of my go to ways of staying up to date and in touch with all things ITFC. I appreciate that some have strong views and concerns about the club and certain people in it but we are miles better off than we were five years ago. Debate how you wish but I like positivity and find it sad that some people just want to dig out the negative when actually we should be quite positive about the current state of our club. P.s. Uppa TowEn |
thanks for the shout out, i like you too! ps just be happy fa rage isn't polluting your country's political and football discourse with his racist and anti-british outbursts

Oh come on, it’s not your club. You spent the whole of last season slagging just about every aspect of the club off. Players, CEO, Manager club as whole, results etc etc. Relentless It’s not as if you put anything into the club - I quote ‘I will not spend a single penny at the Club until he is gone. Tickets, food, apparel anything.’ And on 2 December you wanted Ashton and McKenna out. Ashton in particular you went for many months ago and McKenna you chipped away all season at everything from signings to team to tactics. You must have been gutted when we got promoted. Still, Mr Clement is doing a fine job.

Fwiw I took a view weeks ago that any further grumbling on the matter is pointless, so largely leave it be now. Ashton is permanently tainted in my view, but he is staying put so not worth me griping any more! |
Pretty much sums it up for me. Knew you weren't just a pretty face Dubbers.

I wasn't making any attempt to shut anything down. I was replying to another poster who suggested using the football filter to avoid Farage and political posts, and yet here we are in the football section talking about Farage and politics. Stop being a co ck. |
Huh? You replied to my post. And you want me to read it back? How on earth could anyone work out you were replying to Churchy, given it’s my post(s) that you quoted. Oh, and thanks for confirming my point about unpleasantness with your last sentence.

You didn’t reply to this then? With my reply to Churchy? On the end of a long conversation about avoiding politics by selecting ‘football’ With this, for no apparent reason. AFTER you posted about unpleasantness. FAO PHIL by SuffolkPunchFC 13 Jun 13:07Hmmm, let me think - a thread discussing what the content of the football section should include. Let me think where that should be... So given you were so concerned about unpleasantness, why was your reply so flippant and argumentative? [Post edited 13 Jun 21:22]

I stand by my point, where should someone make a post that is discussion about whether or not a subject is relevant in football? To me your comment about being annoyed it was in the football section was just being antagonistic. Maybe you didn’t intend it how I read it, as I too didn’t intend my comment to be taken flippantly. My point was intended in entire seriousness, not to be argumentative, and if you took offence to the lighthearted way I phrased it, I apologies. I wasn’t throwing insults around though.

My wallet, my choice Continuously slagging the manager and players off? McK on certain occasions, especially regarding his inflexibility and like-for-like changes but I do give praise when praise is due. Ditto for the players - with the exception of perennial flops this season such as Azon and Hirst. Being a supporter doesn't mean you have to be a doormat to the manager and especially the CEO. You seem ok with being lied to and being fed b0llocks by Ashton and his sidekicks, but not me. You also seem ok when Ashton behaves in a condescending/arrogant manner towards your fellow supporters, or makes a fool of himself in public. If that is the case, you'd probably feel more at home living in North Korea, Communist China or Putin's Russia where everyone must toe the official line and kowtow to whatever the establishment would have you believe. Grow a backbone, have some dignity and self-respect. [Post edited 13 Jun 22:00]

You don’t know me so comments like your last sentence are rude, unpleasant and pointless. It says more about you than me. Look back at your posts. Miserable on everything. Negativity unlimited. My club were promoted but to read your posts we did a Leicester. Everyone does this that and the other better. McKenna? Toast long before last week. You wanted him out in December. You posted it. Ashton, a man you don’t know, you’ve slaughtered all season along with most of the players. Poor old Hirst. No balance. Just misery. That’s fine. Your wallet, your choice, your view but following ITFC? Nah, either your ‘efforts’ are a strange way of showing it. ‘You also seem ok when Ashton’ etc. there you go again. You don’t know me. I made my views perfectly clear weeks ago. Unlike you, I choose not to keep repeating them and now and again try offer balance and positivity. Especially for a team challenging for promotion and now facing uncertainly.. Your third paragraph? No idea what you are on about but being a football supporter means you don’t have to slag off a football club you claim to support nearly every single post whether it’s management, players etc for basically a whole season. But it’s up to you.

The irony 😂 Anyhoo this thread that was meant to hopefully point out the continuous Ashton beating which may or may not be deserved alongside everything constantly circling back to his political faux pas. I think it’s clear there is a problem here?!? It may mean a lot to some, I respect that, however not everyone. I appreciate it’s “club related” but seriously give it a break, you’ve made your point and spoken your voice! I want to get back to positive Ipswich town news, hear about our potential new manager and our transfer targets. The hope was there could be a way I could filter out anything related to the same hamster wheel narrative that seems to hijack any thread and adds conspiracy level mindset to anyone reading. Ashton may or may not be XYZ and I’d like to think most people are educated enough to have their own opinion on F*r*ge. Our mighty Ipswich Town FC on the other hand, I’d love to talk about ❤️🔵⚪️💪

irony indeed, only one person brought politics into our club, our chairman (ok, our ceo did it too!). it's still a raw issue for many, people have given up long standing season tickets over the issue. it's people's rights under free speech to continue to air their concerns until such time as it's resolved for them. it's yours and my right to argue against them, agree with them or just ignore them.

You don’t seriously believe anyone has given up their season tickets over this do you? We had two board heroes who SAID they did but that isn’t really the truth. One later said he missed one game and that was to spend a bit of quality time with their girlfriend, and the other one who reckoned it was going to cost to much travelling to games now. Anyway there is 6000 on the season ticket list and nobody is going to say no thanks if the ticket office phones up over this. They might say it on here but that’s BS.

all the talk of massive demos…half empty stadiums with folk showing their dissatisfaction with Mark...fighting in the stands between the pro and anti factions…hoards of lifelong fans giving up their season tickets in protest…none of it transpired..well..on the last point a couple on here said they kinda did but haven’t said if they intend to maintain their self imposed exile this season as it looks as if the devil incarnate isn’t going anywhere..but I guess the usual crowd will be droning on..and on…and on about it…that’s up to them..that’s their choice…makes it boring for the majority of of us but hey ho..that’s democracy for ya…as I’ve said before I don’t know one person/fan in the real world who gives a toss about the matter…it must be the company I keep…as far as I’m concerned the guy is doing a brilliant job for my club but as I’ve said in the past , like many others , he oughta relinquish the chairman’s role and concentrate on his role as the best CEO this club has ever had..
