He had a great game.

Don't cry because it's over; smile because it happened.

Kane ghosted away from him for his header for the first goal, and also got away from him for the second.

He had a great game, but Kane showed his limitations too.

If it takes Kane to show your limitations then I suggest they are not really limitations as Kane is something very very special.

Superb at the art of defending at centre back, loves a tackle, big, strong, great heading…, poor when 1 on 1 in wide areas, not quite mobile enough.

It does make you wonder why we played him at right back so often, and whether that’s a reason he didn’t stay.

Great at what he does.

Dont think it was his man, which is why he pushed the guy who was ball watching when the goal went in.

I think he’s decent as a centre back, but was a poor right back.

Although plenty of people were waxing lyrical over his performances at right back at the beginning of our last Premier League season.

It as his man, Axel was marking Kane and allowed him to drift more centrally and didn't follow him. No handover at all gifting Kane the space which he operates so well in as seen twice today.

The pushing is imho frustration but in my mind Axel was at fault.

Exactly what I was going to post, but you beat me to it! In Axel's defence, we are talking about one of the worlds all time top strikers, so even though he will be very disappointed, he shouldn't get too down, but be proud of his teams performance, until late on anyway.

Upvoted this merely because it was downvoted. Not sure how stating facts can be downvoted.

Signed him, managed his fitness and body well and got him playing consistantly, leaves once we are relegated.

He had a decent game but the above is what happened so I feel no sorrow for England beating his team.

He was excellent there for us. Too good for the Championship, I don't blame him for moving to Burnley and being closer to home.

As for their keeper, I thought Kane's header was probably the 1 he should've saved. Not seen it back today but he seemed to get a hand to it but he could've done better IMO. Made some great saves though to be fair to him.

If he could play a full season he'd be playing for a top 10 side.

Are you telling me that a fully fit Axel wouldn't be a decent player for Fulham, Brentford, Brighton, Bournemouth and co? Last night proved he has the quality, and his spell at Manure did, he just won't play more than 20 a season. and that's not good enough for a top club. He will sign for a side in the bottom 5 of this league or a top Champ club.
