Not sure that frequently posting pretty nasty stuff about immigrants and trolling the forum as much as possible is being "a bit of a bell".

His first post on this thread was absolutely made to start an argument and he got exactly what he wanted.

He's a stain on the forum and far too many people are happy to turn a blind eye to his current and historic posting and engage in the occasional nonsense he posts about wildlife or buts to distract from all the other stuff he's posted in the meantime.

I look forward to the gang downvoting my post but they are enablers of his posting and a massive part of the problem as well.

I'm not replying to him or a few others anymore so I am sure they have can a nice pile-on about the uncomfortable truth being pointed out. Might make their Saturday night more interesting.

Ever thought about that?

His first 2 posts were 'Ashton in'. Not exactly inflammatory, and i say that as soneone who was utterly disgusted with Faragegate.

Come on, he knew exactly how certain posters would react to that. It's why he's been doing it on every thread for months.

He was right as he got the reaction he wanted.

Context is important.

To be honest, I am finding this place a rather unpleasant place to be nowadays with how a certain element support certain stuff and then pile on posters who don't agree. It was bad a few years ago, it calmed down but it's pretty bad again now.

4 or 5 posters had posted anti Ashton stuff before benters even got to the thread, including two 'ashton out' posts.

Is that not inflammatory to those who still think Ashton is top dog?

To repeat, I was appalled at the farage incident and the aftermath, but other opinions are allowed.

Where have I called you a stain? I've called you an enabler.

Are you unable to read properly? You seem obsessed about the way I structure my posts and the language used. It's really weird.

All you've done in this thread is wade in, call someone vile, support a troll and then have a pop at a few other posters.

All your hallmarks. I'll not be replying to you anymore either. You've made this place decidedly unpleasant since the Ashton stuff happened.

Once again, context is important.

Yes, other posters did post as you say but he's posted that exact comment on countless threads since the incident and every time was trying to start an argument. He knows exactly what he is doing. That before we even look at his other posting a a general point.

I mean look at your upvotes, that should tell you everything you need to know about this.

Anyway, enjoy your evening, I think I'll leave it there and let them have their fun.

ITFC do something damned good for grassroots clubs and it turns into a slanging match on here.

Get a grip people.

If you look at the staff list

You'll probably see various people who were involved in this, using it as pro Ashton is a stretch. I dare say it came across his desk at some point and that's it, well done to everyone involved.

Me and SB have had our history but thats mainly because of my posting.

One thing about SB compared to yourself is he backs up his posts and never tells the forum he was happy and trolling the forum.

Im not getting involved in the benters stuff thats being discussed by others and ive mot had any dealings with him before.

But to see you trying to take the high ground is laughable. Biggest forum troll going. Incredibly obvious but somehow you remain.

My personal recommendation is add Benters and Waveney to the div list. I've had that pair on my list for months and the forum is a much better place for it. Neither are worth engaging or wasting time on.

Only time it becomes a bit difficult is when Waveney has a meltdown on a thread and there's 40% of the thread missing or quoting his invisible posts. However he's never added anything meaningful in those meltdowns when I view logged out, so I've learned to not even bother.

Might miss some water butt advice from Benters, but hardly disastrous.

This all feels little OTT.

Benters can be a bit of a bell, fair enough, but going after him and name calling feels a bit playground.

Just live and let live.

You’re quite right. Apologies to the board.

I get it based on his history, but maybe play the ball not the man in each specific thread? In this case ‘Ashton in’ was no more inflammatory than others who posted ‘Aston out’. There’s nothing inherently offensive. I’m posting in good faith and of course it’s up to you how you reply to anyone.

This thread sums up the problem with us engaging with Farage imo. None of the responses of the club from the denial to lies were good, but the real damage is that by association with Farage the club has been politicised and it’s dividing the fans. That’s exactly Farage’s modus operandi and the thing that will cause lasting damage.

Tbf when you look at the thread title the thread got exactly what it deserved. I have no problem with Ashton in posts even if they can't explain how what he did gets a pass.

I took the title to be smiley ironic - a bit of humour that some have taken a bit too seriously. Ho hum - its been quite hot today, maybe its got us all a bit tetchy.
