Anan Khalaili to Inter is off. on 17:03 - Jul 13 by ThatMuhrenCross
I don't mind us being his sloppy seconds if he fancies changing his mind!
I'm in two minds on that.
He's undoubtedly talented, and the sort of player we would love to have in the team.
However, the understanding is that he failed the more rigorous heart-related part of the Italian medical, which would bar him from playing in Italy full-stop. Admittedly it may be a minimal risk, but is it the sort of risk we'd want to be taking?
Not a prophet, or a stone-age man; just a mortal with potential of a superman.
We should 100% still go for this kid. I can’t stress enough how good he is. Him on one wing and Leif on the other would be dreamy. To put it in context, I watch USG games quite regularly and he was by far the best player on the team last season at right wing back. In the champions league he scored or got the assist for practically all the goals they scored. He’s exactly what we need and we’d be doing very well to sign a player of his calibre.

We do need a RWB. It's got shades of Cajuste to Brentford all over again.

Sounds more like a nightmare if we're trying to be more solid this year.
By the sounds of it we'd enjoy him if he did sign, and maybe at a cut price of we can after this.

What do you think of the keeper if a regular USG watcher?

In a word - superb. If he has to leave USG then I’d only be happy if he comes to us. He’s a real towering presence in goal. He has all the good qualities of Muric, but without the moments of madness. He’s brilliant at claiming crosses and corners and a great shot stopper. His reflexes, for such a big guy, is what really impresses me though. Also, he’s at an age where he can still develop as a keeper. For me if we want someone to push Walton and potentially come in to replace him as number one, Kjell’s the guy.
