I think because fairly, we spent a lot of money on him to perform for us in the top flight. We didn't buy him to be a championship all star player. So for him to want out whilst he's barely played in the top league is going to annoy some supporters. Especially after the saga to sign him in the first place.
Unfairly (as i'm one too) he's also a bit of an introvert so can give off the impression of not being a team player or invested in the club.
If it is 'that' as you somewhat bizarrely allude to, then a fair few of them are gonna be dissapointed when they see the team take the field at the start of the season! [Post edited 28 Jul 20:36]

A decent % of our fan base share this view and I really don’t understand why.
I understand his body language can sometimes look disinterested but Jaden’s numbers show he is one of the hardest working players in the squad.
Against other championship wingers (almost all of whom will be defending more frequently than Jaden)
Philogene ranks below:
92nd percentile for interceptions
88th percentile for recoveries
86th percentile for possession won in the final third
Can certainly argue that Philogene doesn’t create too much for others, but he’s one of the best in squad with his off the ball work. |

He's a bit of an enigma is Jaden, never really fitted in with Villa and to be honest I don't think he really fitted in with what KM called the 'team ethic', as Smodizc was labelled, the guy always looked dead miserable. There is a tendency to view black players as lazy. The stats don’t back up the many accusations of that that I’ve read. It doesn’t mean you can’t also dislike other players for other reasons too. | | | |

I’d be interested to know how frequently he recorded that speed because I didn’t clock it personally. I thought I saw him earn half a yard on defenders or receive the ball in space but not be able to capitalise quite regularly, when on the wing or further out from goal. Always valued his technical ability and work off the ball so will miss the fella regardless - I just had pace or acceleration mentally noted as a slight hindrance (do recall you stating this before). | | | |

That’s the danger of relying solely on the Interweb Frimmers. The AI bots rely heavily on what is written in connected data sources on the Internet. That summary, if I’m not mistaken, was from when he was at Villa.
We were generating GeniusIQ replays and tracking data all last season, and the speeds I’m referring to are from that. AI will most likely not digest that yet, as it relies on watching video and seeing the inserts/overlays.

Yeah, that's where I am with him, I'd be minded to keep him, but he is essentially unproven at this level and if offers north of £35m come in then I'm sure the club would look at it, but I just can't see anyone dropping that money on him.

People decided they didn't like him before he'd even signed and are now twisting reality to fit their own narrative.
He is one of the hardest workers in the squad in both pressing and tracking back.
It is pretty unfair to say he was "crap" or "not up to it" in the PL - he was parachuted in to a failing team, promptly shifted to the right to cover for injuries and soon after got injured himself. What sample size are we judging him on?
He is the most technically gifted player in the squad - mercurial at times but those sorts of players often are.
When fit, McKenna picked him regularly over Jack Clarke - there are reasons for that. If both were available, i'd be pretty confident the queue for Jaden would be longer and include more high profile clubs.
There is nothing wrong with being quiet and introverted - and being that way is no indication of being unhappy or not invested. | | | |

Yes, there is data available for his time with us - the GeniusIQ analysis of of matches. I've referred to these several time, and in previous posts about this during the season, included screenshots from the matches.
It's very time consuming working through the GeniusIQ feeds, as you effectively have to rewatch the matches with their data overlayed, but it provides the answers.
Edit: the reason you can't find more recent information about Jaden is that Internet articles tend to focus on the Premier League, so you need to dig deeper to track down the data outside of the PL (which is less easily digestible for searches / AI) [Post edited 29 Jul 9:18]
