It's been done since the end of last week, just awaiting paperwork to be rubberstamped.

Other than Ouattara, nothing else close, from what I was told over the weekend.

It's a pee-in at the new training ground ...

New training facility by Heathlander 17 Aug 9:14
There are even digital screens above the urinals that players have to sign into before they do their business, allowing the club to quickly analyse samples and determine who's not hydrated enough.

They are leaving no stool unturned.

Yes, €30m as per French reports last week, which is just under £27m. Seems a lot for him to me, but if he does well this season, no doubt he will be worth more next summer and beyond.

Good profit for them, they only paid £8m for him (+ potential addons).

Assume we have pushed the boat out for GON who clearly wanted him. He is that sprinkle of star dust we lack tbf. Think we will see a more mature rounded player than the 20 yo we had previously.

Nice. I hope our new record signing is 'unveiled' at the training ground on the day it opens. What a great way to start!

‘The deal will also see…Abdoul Ouattara move in the same direction’
That wording makes it sound like they’re both included in that price, assuming that’s not the case?

They all seem a lot to me, but I'm becoming a fossil.

A bit tough to stomach paying 3x what the selling club did not long ago, or in Emersonn's case much more than that. We are where we are though, lets hope they give us a good shot at staying up.

In the context of what has been paid for Emersonn and Fatawu, and some other fees paid across the PL this summer, I think it looks good business at that price.

Premier League tax! An ex-player said if you're a Premier League club enquiring about a player clubs in, for example, France add £10 million to the price. I was talking to someone at Town about it and they said they initially enquire via an agent saying an English club is interested to see what price is asked and then take the negotiation from there.

That seems to be the total figure, including basic, add-ons and an assumed sell on.

So perhaps EU24m up front + EU4m add ons and assumed EU4m sell on.
