Here's the thing - without those times it was horrible to support the Club we wouldn't really be able to appreciate where we are now.

I often think back to that triple signing as one of the low points showing just how far we have come since under our new ownership.
It was so frustrating that we would not invest in young players, whom we may have later sold for profit. Ward was 35, as was Chambers, so in some matches our full backs had a combined age of 70.
Hawkins had been released by Portsmouth and went on to score one goal for us.
