He would certainly fit the the type of player need for that role.

Fantastic experience, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, european competitions, international. Absolute physical nuisance, proper line leader. Probably the most accomplished striker I could imagine us getting, the closest thing we could get to a sure thing.
Oh boy this could be an exciting one. Was more than a bit disappointed when I thought he was heading to Atlanta, would be immense to get this done. Can see why we might have been avoiding some other strikers if this can come off.

Wow this
I am hopeless at knowing footballers in the wider world, even those outside Suffolk. So I have no idea on this guy, but you all seem to and that's enough for me.
One experienced international striker. One up-and-coming striker with all the ingredients to be a star. One winger and one attacking midfielder with experience playing up top. One extra striker/10 who's happy as a squad player, relatively cheap and seems to have some faith from the manager.
As a unit I reckon that's good balance and depth, would shake out as well as we might have hoped.
Would be another shrewd signing. We need selfless forwards this year with a possible three of Philogene, Enciso and Fatawu in behind who lets be honest all prefer a shot over a pass.
It's the same reason that Delap was never high up my list. He always wanted to score the wonder goal and I dont think we need more of that. We aren't a one man team anymore and we now have enough star quality.

I can't see why a footballer in his prime wouldn't sign for a Premier League club over one from the MLS to be honest. Him choosing the latter would be a case of money over ambition, albeit he wouldn't be the first. He would be a sensational pick up if we can do it though, like with Palacios, I'm surprised other Premier League sides aren't showing interest.
At least the source seems to be reliable, is followed by Fabrizio Romano too.
L'Equipe is a nationwide sports based newspaper in France. It's a legitimate source. But, as we know from the British press, that doesn't mean they always get things right.

From that X post he has rejected MLS as he didn't like the salary otherwise I think he would be at Atlanta already. This is based on something Ben Jacobs posted end last week. So hopefully we can give him PL football and the salary and he can give us goals. Perfect for us both.
