I know you're not supposed to use fabric softener for a towel wash... but I think I wasn't quite with it this morning, because I picked up the wrong bottle and ONLY used fabric softener. I also mixed yellow and black towels, which apparently is a no-no too!

I’ve been doing washing for 60 years and didn’t know that! Albeit I don’t use fabric conditioner at all.
Apart from that, taking a frying pan off the camp fire and putting it on the plastic groundsheet when I was in the Brownies age about 8. Sadly, my friend failed her Camping badge as a result I still feel the guilt! |  |

Don’t use Simple with peppermint anti-bac handwash in bathrooms that have a macerator - the oil in the peppermint foams up and creates everlasting suds that trigger the macerator to keep grinding away for about a week! Voice of bitter experience here … | |

When Lady B and myself purchased our first house together she decided to whack a load of washing in but use ‘hand wash powder’ in our new washing machine…..took about suds city it was like something from a film.
The washing machine recovered though,but a few years later the cat would sit there just looking at the machine even if it wasn’t on.
If the weather was bad and we couldn’t work on site,I’d either play Tomb Raider on my PS1 or do some DIY.This particular day I thought I’d paint the kitchen ceiling,so out come the step ladder and paint.One minute I was happily painting the ceiling the next I was on the kitchen floor with the stepladder around me with the paint.
Little did I know when the cat sat there looking at the machine,it could hear the hissing of water coming out of the inlet pipe,which in turn rotted the kitchen floor joists,which in turn had my stepladder crashing through it 😓😆 |  |
