Just read Real Madrid have a buy back clause on Paz, so he was always going back is how I understand it. Money talks.

Was it just a case of Como made Manchester United look like Como?

add to the the other 2 we should have had.... 4-1 Town, great reault

| Carrick must be getting very close to the chop now on 10:49 - Oct 22 with 628 views | franz_tyson | I'm not in the slightest bit surprised. How did he go from being a mediocre out of work Championship coach to a coach of one of the biggest clubs in the world ( though nowhere near the best)? Well his results were fantastic and got them into the Champions League. So he deserved to keep the job, but surely he'd get found out. And he has. The stupid thing is if he didn't keep the job after getting them into the Champions League, then they'd be uproar. They were kind of forced to give it to him. Would have thought it's time for a very experienced coach now. Not Kieran. | | | |

I really believe that current Manure squad is unmanageable in its current form. Many experienced managers have tried and failed over the last decade or so. Needs a real demolition job from head to toe in that club, arise Sir Paul of Cook.

agree with you - the squad seems poisonous and or unmotivated, but they don;t really seem to have money for a clear out either. Apparently Carrick is staying for the Bournemouth game at least, but maybe they ought to give the job to Fernandez, given he knows it all.

| Carrick must be getting very close to the chop now on 07:42 - Oct 22 by tonybied | I consider myself a fairly positive poster on here, but I have to disagree about your view of that match. There seems to be quite a bit of selective memory concerning the Utd game on here, recently, from a few posters. Yes, there was a good bit of luck/bias involved in the handball goal. The slip can be seen as unlucky for us, but Utd pounced on it, and punished us, and finished well, as you'd expect most Premier League teams to. Let's not turn into Leeds/Leicester by declaring them deflection F.C, and finally, it was hardly a contentious penalty either. People need to remember that in that 30-minute period, Utd carved us to pieces, it was extremely messy from us, and hard viewing at the time. We played well up to the Nunez slip, and that goal was against the run of play, but we didn't deal with it at all well, and the 5 conceded in that period was not much more than Utd or we deserved. Thankfully, we showed a bit more fight after that period, and then again in the next match. I fully believe that those 30 minutes may prove to have done us more good than harm. We have definitely improved defensively since that match. Let's not pretend it was anything other than a horror half an hour for us, rather than just luck for them, though. |
GON said the same after the match - that the team collectively lost their heads & that cost us the game. Hopefully, we will have learned from it.

This is exactly it. The Glazers have ruined the club, not that I'm complaining. A leveraged buy out saddles the club with debt and the servicing of that impacts across the whole club. The Glazers don't care as long as they get their dividend and they know when they do sell they will still make a huge profit. They were debt free when they were sold. All this because of a row over a horse.

Feel bad for him, bloke obviously cares and he's always come across as a thoroughly decent guy. Whether he's up to the job is another thing but almost every manager since Ferguson has failed there. Think there should be some soul searching but I doubt there will be.
