| What is your perfect final league position? 06:04 - Nov 2 with 1402 views | LA_Tractor_Boy | Okay, this might sound like a stupid question as winning the league or finishing in the top 4/5 to qualify for the CL is the obvious answer. But what is your perfect (realistic) final league position this season? Mine is 10th. I think qualifying for the Conference League or Europa League would be really dangerous for the club this season. We saw the damage it did in 2001/2002 and as Sunderland are finding this season, unless you are an established PL club with 25+ international players it's hard to juggle two league competitions. 10th would maximise our prize money and give us a platform to further improve the squad next summer, without any chance of qualifying for Europe via all the 6th/7th/8th/9th variables. Having said all this, it would be lovely to win a trophy and qualify for Europe that way. | | | | |

| What is your perfect final league position? on 06:57 - Nov 2 with 1261 views | ITFC_Forever | Anything that’s not bottom three. I’d like us to be safe with a game or three to spare, but it feels like a season that will go to the wire if we are to stay up. Worries about our defending at times, no clean sheets isn’t good, and when we give goals away like we did on Saturday, it doesn’t help. That said, we are scoring goals, despite not quite clicking in the final third at times… and if you can score goals, you’ve always got a chance. | |

| What is your perfect final league position? on 07:17 - Nov 2 with 1208 views | franz_tyson | You seriously think we can qualify for Europe? I think it's been a positive start. We can score goals and have a bit of character. I think we'll be bottom six. The league once in it's stride will sort itself out and we're a bit flakey. We can lose a couple of goals easily in a bad 15 minute period. We're going to have a bad streak or streaks sometime in the season and I don't think some are prepared for it. Deal with rlegation first... then look at league positions. | | | |

This. I would snap your arm off for 17th right now. We've got the potential to finish higher, but it could very easily go the other way, this will always be a punishing league for any team not completely on their game.

Is the only correct answer to this question.

| What is your perfect final league position? on 10:28 - Nov 2 with 813 views | hoppy | Ideal position would be high enough to not qualify for Europe this time, but give enough positive feeling that the likes of Palacios and Enciso see good value on not being tempted away to a ‘better’ prospect and staying with us to continue improving us. | |

| What is your perfect final league position? on 10:40 - Nov 2 with 782 views | LeoMuff | Can’t see us being anywhere near tenth, we are better than last prem outing by some distance but still leak way too many goals. Having seen Hull this weekend I don’t see how they survive, Coventry and Sunderland look very good candidates while Palace are in trouble. Forest looked way too good to stay where they are the other week, so I think 16th but it will be very tight. | |

Unlikely I know and I wouldn't put money on it, but it's not impossible that we finish 9th and qualify for the Conference League.

nothing is impossibile if it is mathematically possible. Still not going to happen.
| What is your perfect final league position? on 18:06 - Nov 2 with 519 views | J2BLUE | 15th. Any higher and some would get carried away (like talking about Europe...). It's clear enough of relegation to attract new players though. | | | |
| What is your perfect final league position? on 18:31 - Nov 2 with 472 views | mellowblue | The position I hope and think we can attain is somewhere in the 14th to 17th area. If we could get a nice little 2-0 win soon, it would be a great boost. A clean sheet and a win that does not involve late heroics would be a great confidence booster. Confidence is key. | | | |

| What is your perfect final league position? on 09:34 - Nov 3 with 172 views | WolfieAtTheBack | Anything above 17th would be probably a step too far. Keep it simple, grind out the results then build again in the summer. And to those who feel otherwise, we may well need another striker in this window, yes another one.... [Post edited 3 Nov 9:34]

Oh and that will mean we've played 3 seasons in Europe this century, against their 0.
