I'm not thinking about Million £ super cars etc but those that you may have lusted after as your first car/when younger and is no longer practical for your life or not worth the money etc.
For me it was the original Renault Cleo Williams. Wanted one all though my 20's but was unable to insure. Had some great fun cars since and now told old to drive it around as I imagined with my stereo up loud and looking like a little pr%ck. Now I'd just look like a pr%ck in his late 30's that should know better.
Close contenders for me also:
Peugeot 205 1.9 Gti Ford Orion Ghia Alfa GT (which I did own and thinking of getting another)

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!
When I was a kid, Frank Yallops brother had a garage in Bucklesham.... he drove one of these. Most people think its ugly as hell, but I loved it, and still do;
Back in the day of B&W TV there was an adventure series of the Gestapo v the Marquis. Can't remember the name. They drove around in Citreons with the chevrons on the front of the grill and the doors opening the other way. I thought they were the coolest cars around.
Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?

I always dreamed of having a Delorian after watching Back to the Future, but sadly they were pig awful cars in reality.

Have you ever watched Wheeler Dealers on Quest? They fixed up a DeLorean once. Mike went to get parts for it in the USA and there was one guy who had changed the interior to have all the Gizmos and a Flux capacitor. The only car manufacturer, to my knowledge, who had a coke-dealing MD.

Is wheeler dealers the one where they more or less modernise the guts and inner workings of the older cars and flip them for a profit?

Pretty much. They buy clapped-out cars with poor brakes/steering and blue smoke pouring out of a busted exhaust for 2 grand, spend 2 grand and sell for 5 grand. The 30 man hours doesn't get factored in to the price for some reason. Mike's a bit of a Del-boy and Edd is a 6ft 4in dude who can't fit in most of the cars he's asked to fix. Edd likes to respray cars orange and they usually end up agreeing to disagree. Essential TV - 6pm every evening on Quest.
