Tammy Abraham 14:53 - Jan 2 with 3203 views | itfcjoe | Currently on £50k a week, but Chelsea are struggling to tie him down as he wants his next contract to match Hudson-Odoi who has a deal worth approx £180k a week Hudson-Odoi has a basic wage pre bonus of £120k a week, that is what Abraham is seeing as a bottom line. I can understand the reasoning, and not casting aspersions on Tammy who deserves to be paid arguably more than CHO at the moment with the impact he has made - but the money is just incredible. No wonder they can sign players who you think would be better of staying where they are making an impact as youngsters, they all get long contracts on good money, and any progress becomes mega money, and then make the first team and it is superstar money

Tammy Abraham on 15:10 - Jan 2 with 2757 views | ArnieM | Thing is paying players Monopoly money doesn’t actually mean they are “ special” Players . Some of the great players from yesteryear are arguably better players / certainly not the prima donas of today’s game, where diving, feigning injury, looking to get opponents sent off is actually coached into their game. Shocking state of affairs tbh . The game “ went” when it prostituted itself to Sky tv in my humble opinion.

I'm not sure you can live up to those expectations? I'd have always had him behind Sancho and Foden in the supremely talented 2000 generation and his club situation hasn't helped him. Injury at a bad time, and now the huge deal which can't help with hunger etc.........shame he wasn't fit at the start of the season as we may have found out more about him

You also said we were extremely lucky to have Lambert, so, well... I'm more than prepared to look extremely silly in a couple of years' time when we're in the Prem. ;)

That isn't where I read this, and I said it's the basic of £120k that CHO is on he sees as a bottom end

Tammy Abraham on 16:46 - Jan 2 with 2315 views | Durovigutum | No matter what your view on the UK Prime Minister we have come to a crazy place that a young person is being paid more in a week to kick a pig skin around a bit of grass than the person running the country gets. The stress and strain is just not comparable.... Anyone complaining that MPs are overpaid but then "supporting" these levels of pay really need a head inspection.....

| Assumption is to make an ass out of you and me.
Those who assume they know you, when they don't are just guessing.
Those who assume and insist they know are daft and in denial.
Those who assume, insist, and deny the truth are plain stupid.
Those who assume, insist, deny the truth and tell YOU they know you (when they don't) have an IQ in the range of 35-49.

Exactly. And in any line of work, if a colleague who isn't contributing more than you gets paid way more, you think you deserve the same. It's just in football that the numbers are so silly (and because players can be sold for value).

More than the person who runs the country? Maybe, but do we know how much Dominic Cummings gets?
