The overriding desire to have an “i was there” moment is worrying.

The media should probably stop sending camera crews to locations for this now. I can just imagine NHS workers banging their heads on the table in unison at 8pm

At least with contact tracing they’ll be able to trace the latest outbreak

The NHS is wonderful, but please help them and stay at home

The Thames is a mighty river, but not sure it deserves a round of applause at this time.

Yep, the number of people filming themselves clapping - including MPs is really quite sad.

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

This.

It's turned into a "look at me, I care more about the NHS than you" thing. See the images above.

If you truly care about the NHS, don't fecking vote Tory.

I didn’t clap yesterday. Not because I don’t care, but more the fact that by the 3rd week in a row if people’s attitudes to owning their voting isn’t going to happen it might as well be a lie printed on the side of a bus.

Plus I was too tired to move.

Mentioned last week but on another footy forum I use, one of the contributors is in a cul-de-sac facebook group and one of the lasses was moaning on there that some people "weren't clapping with enough gusto".

It's turning into the whole Poppy thing all over again.

Don't get me wrong, the appreciation is nice and all that, but the one-upping and slightly cultish air it's starting to develop is bothering me a bit much now.
Granted, I've never seen myself as a hero, even when I've done what people tell me are extraordinary things, so I find the whole thing a bit embarrassing but a lot of my colleagues seem to like it and it appears to give people something to do to raise their own morale then, hey.

I've never seen you as a hero either, I always assumed you were a literal blue badger.

But on a serious note, I agree.
