If Bournemouth have a sell on we would get a percentage of that. Probably wouldn't amount to much though.

He’s been pretty poor since the restart; wouldn’t be surprised if he stays put even if Villa do go down.

Everton, Arsenal and Man Utd. interested in him. Given a choice, think I would go for Arsenal. Man Utd have a bucket load of defenders on their books and Everton are a stagnated club. Arsenal gives him a great chance of playing and progressing to become an England regular.

I think he’s been p*ss poor this season, don’t think he’s good enough for the clubs linked.

Looks like they are valuing Mings at £30m in that article, does make the Godfrey valuation of £50m look way off.

Interestingly all three of the bottom three have a central defender that is a saleable asset, Mings, Godfrey & Ake - albeit all of them have shipped goals.

Godfrey is much younger though so more potential upside. Mings is 27 now so isn't likely to improve all that much or have massive resale value. £50m looks too high though even taking that into account.

Not sure when you think David Luiz got a contract at Arsenal, it would suggest Mings is good enough for Arsenal.

Harry Maguire went for £70m aged 26, and you wouldn't say he's reached his ceiling would you? I'm not saying Mings is in the same bracket as Maguire but 27 is hardly old.

I've not seen much improvement from Maguire since joining Man U to be honest. And he's a much more established Prem level CB than Mings so will obviously cost more.

Yeah. Funny how he was a lot more impressive looking in that Leicester side.

Mings could go on to get a similar move, he's relatively established in the England squad after all, but for now he's probably looking at an Everton or Newcastle type club.

The Maguire fee was insane. He's a decent mid table CB but I think any half decent CB would fancy their chances of taking his place.

£70m was a mugging.

Truly impaired.

David Luiz isn't good enough, but that doesn't mean that it makes Mings the answer.

I don't think he's wonderful. It's just you've gone to the effort of making three digs at him on this thread and one on another thread. I'm guessing you have been hoping for a reaction that wasn't forthcoming. Well now I've given you a reaction you can get back in your box.

Although none of the centre backs are quite up to it?

Maguire may look better next to a pacey counterpart I'd suggest

27 - 31 is about the peak for a centre back I'd suggest

Yes you can put a bit more premium on a hot prospect but you should yield a decent fee for a 27 year old England international?
