What are season ticket holders actually paying for ? on 23:43 - Sep 28 with 4357 views | Marshalls_Mullet | It's personal choice I guess, but I think a lot of ST holders are seeing it as an investment in the club's future, and they are supporting the club in the truest sense of the word. If you cancel your ST, you also forfeit your right to criticise Marcus Evans for a 'lack of investment'. ST holders are effectively doing what ME has done for the last 10 years, they are propping the club up financially for little return.

Wondered whether TWTD should do some crowd funding?

I came up with the idea of donating to the academy as that can be done outside of FFP. It would save Evans money which he could then use elsewhere. It went down like a lead balloon.

What are season ticket holders actually paying for ? on 07:01 - Sep 29 with 4192 views | hammo56 | For me it seemed pretty obvious that fans would certainly be restricted in the amount of games they were actually going to be able to watch live this season. This was the reason why I didn’t renew my season ticket as watching it on iFollow is not for me. As for helping the club out during this difficult time then that up to the individual to decide what they want to do and IMO nobody should be criticised for this.
What are season ticket holders actually paying for ? on 07:10 - Sep 29 with 4171 views | Chrisd | As a product, EFL clubs really need to have a close look at the service that ifollow provides for the supporters. In most cases, there are issues before and during games, it is unreliable, but if done correctly could be a good source of income during these testing times for clubs. Is there not a better service provider out there? [Post edited 29 Sep 2020 10:01]

I don't think that's fair. Season ticket holders/fans don't put money into the club trying to make money themselves. Let's face it, that's what Evans was looking for in the first place. Due to poor management and ownership it hasn't happened and is unlikely to happen for a long time. I agree with the part about investment. This is particularly true if you've paid annually for your ticket like I have, that's why I haven't cancelled it - not even sure how I'd go about it if I wanted to. I wouldn't blame anyone paying by DD for cancelling, though.

Tbf I imagine a lot of people already donate to the academy via other means.

I think that is a great idea and have been thinking along those lines for a while. As others have pointed out some do donate through the Academy and that is a great gesture but i feel that as supporters if we came help in these troubled times the club we love it would be terrific . I am not very good with technology but i would be happy to donate a few bits of Town memorabilia that could be auctioned off maybe on this forum ?

I think clubs should sell maybe sell vouchers for match tickets in future seasons when we are back to full capacity. This would be a way of people giving money to the club without taking anything immediately but still getting something for it eventually. [Post edited 30 Sep 2020 10:22]

Let's see if the fans who turn up on a game by game basis send in the money for their tickets as well then....................... Or is it just season ticket holders that it's time to back the club???

To be fair if you look at the other thread a lot of non-season ticket holders have been purchasing iFollow streams. That will put revenue into the club. I do think ST holders need to be given something extra though, maybe free iFollow for away games too plus something next season to compensate them further.

I think you are right but I was reacting to what seemed like a" it's season ticket holders only that need to support the club" message We buy 4 season tickets in one of the most expensive seating areas in the stadium, not due to wanting to spend money but for my wife's disability as the seating gives her the space she needs to sit comfortably as well as she doesn't have to stand up every time someone walks past her, and all we get is the same as everyone else, who may pay for a cheap ticket on their own, we can watch iFollow games for free 4 times, but not much use that is it really and yes we have to pay for away games as well, like everyone else does, of course, but you would have thought that the club would at least have come up with options over and above due to the amount we are paying, yes it's our choice but surely they could take off us what they take off everyone else for not going to games, which is nothing unless we want to pay for iFollow. We pay monthly around £100 and get £10 iFollow pass, if it works and if it's watchable, of course.

As a season ticket for many years , I see this as my bit in supporting the club financially. What would be interesting if ME was to sell a portion of his shares to fans, another way of raising funds, but cannot see him going down this path.

You make an extremely good point. I'm only around paying £20 a month, due to a cheap seat and refund from last season, so despite money being tight I can justify it as not far off what ifollow would cost anyway. Does seem grossly unfair that you are essentially getting the same as me, for 5 times the cost. We don't pay just for a "product" of course, supporting a football club is about more than that, but the extent of the inequality here doesn't serve the club well.

Thank you for your support!! We do also travel from Doncaster to our home games, so invest heavily supporting the club both home and away where we generally go to all away games as well, yet it seems we get nothing back for what we currently pay, not only on top of the season ticket costs but also supporting away as well

What are season ticket holders actually paying for ? on 12:59 - Sep 30 with 3167 views | uefacup81 | I noted in his comment last week that Marcus Evans made reference to 'make-goods' for ST holders, so it's clear that the club are trying to work out some way of rewarding those who are still putting money into the club. iFollow is an interesting point as well - I think that someone mentioned on another thread that a number of clubs had terminated their contracts with the EFL when they discovered the quality of product on offer. Surely it would be more economical for the club to set up their own service if at all possible? Especially as the club would be able to keep 100% of the £10 fees, as opposed to whatever percentage the EFL currently allows clubs to retain?

Well hats off to you, that is fantastic support. These are incredibly difficult times for the club and I guess ME has got to balance the loyalty of our fanbase with the financial pressures of covid to try and keep the club in the best shape he can. You're never going to keep everyone happy, but I do think a one-size-fits-all solution (ifollow access for home games) doesn't really work. You should get more for your money than the likes of me.

I think it's like everything else connected to the club, the associated costs of doing it yourselves outweigh the benefits unless you're turning over a considerable whack. See the concourse catering for example, or manufacturing our own shirts etc.
