Sears off to Colchester 21:55 - Jan 10 with 5781 viewsGeorge25

Saw a few Twitter rumours that sears is off to Colchester on loan. Yes it’s only a rumour but could be some truth given he wasn’t on the bench anyway. At least it would give us room in salary cap to bring some else in.

Go away, 12th man.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

That's fine to me, overpaid for what he offers at this level. Never made the grade at Town did he.

He had a decent spell when he first came in

I think MM ruined him when he started playing him on the left wing

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

And now lambert is ruining Jackson. His confidence was knocked yesterday being played out wide and not having enough pace to beat the left back.

How do you know the state of Jackson's confidence?

Well after all, that worked for notably successful ITFC managers Roy Keane and Paul Hurst.

Let him go. Not good enough. Contract up in the summer anyway.

overall a decent servant to the club but now it’s the right time for both parities to make a change

A good spell when he arrived during the 14-15 season. 9 goals scored in that half season which is very good.

Not good enough, been here a long time, doesn’t mean he’s been a decent servant, just a servant I guess. Never done anything more than have patches of good performances.

Same with Chambers and Skuse. Time to ship them on out.

Didn’t Jackson recently comment in an interview or in an article in EADT, that he felt he could do the job in a wide role?

Well it’s going to have to happen this summer given most of the players are out of contract.

Yes, was in EADT. Jackson told Lambert a day before the Burton game IIRC.

Lambert put him in.

He has been useless.

He made a good start with us but MM then ruined him by playing him out of position for years.

Agree his time here is up though.

He's just one of about 5 or 6 (I'm being kind) that don't perform, and probably never will again. Too comfortable for them - get shot.

(Obvs PL can go too)

Danny Haynes also thought the same when he was always more effective as a striker

Best striker at the club if played in his correct position. Just watch him thrive if he gets a move.

Would make sense all round.

He should go with everyone's best wishes as he's been a good servant for 6 years and basically done what's asked of him. Sadly though he just looks past his best and the type of player we should be looking to upgrade if we want to go anywhere. If he hadn't done his ACL at Norwich I think his last couple of years might have been different.

We thank Freddie for all of his hard work and effort, but he's not a quick as he was and he's lost his confidence in front of goal so if we can move him on then it would be for the good of everyone.

If he thrives with a Championship club then it would be galling, if he thrives for a League Two outfit then he's probably found his level.

I happen to think it would be the latter.
