After listening to the Peterborough commentator, I think Brenner does a good job at trying to be impartial 'slightly'. There was a few times I thought the 'Mighty Posh' were Real Madrid the way he spoke, all those very talented players they have, playing super passes, crikey they were only playing against a very poor mid table Division 3 team and they only just beat them. |  | | |

The fact that Lambert dodged that interview full-stop is a huge indicator he is not fit for the job. Lacking in skill, honesty, class or balls. I agree on that, I think a few years back there was a big bust up at Forest and they banned a whole swave of local media. The atmosphere is already fractious if the club cant see it then there is no point battling a fight you cannot win. | | | |

Firstly brenner wasn’t originally a town fan, but has been commentating on pretty much every town game for 15+ years, during which we’ve been through possibly our worst ever form in our history. I certainly couldn’t do it for another club. I think he does a decent job and if you listen to when he chats to mark Murphy sometimes during the week you hear his share his frustrations. | | | |

On the other hand, they’re just words. So I don’t think they matter too much.
A couple of years ago people were lapping up Lambert’s words re: fans and engagement with the club. But ultimately they’re meaningless without results or it seems a commitment to stay engaged and be honest.
I find myself in the uncomfortable position with agreeing with Eddie Jones twice in the space of a week. He’s still an @rse of the highest order in the sh/thousery of the pre-match mind games but he’s got a very simple approach when it comes to the team and results. He takes the blame for defeats re: how the team was prepared and set up and always steps back when the team wins. That’s the sort of engagement with the fans but crucially the players that I want to see – the constant massaging of reality where we deserved a draw (not even close) or we played well (when we didn’t) or that we’re somehow getting there (League 2?).
Take responsibility and stop making the players have to share so much of it (set up, selection, in-game tactics, signings) that they can’t do anything about. |  |

It's just another symptom of our largely spineless local media. The club is literally dying before our eyes and, bar a one-off headline in the EADT, the local media are just watching it happen and going along with it. This, plus the fact that fans are relying on the local media to represent them in lieu of being able to attend games, protest etc. is utterly unforgivable. The ITFC media don't want to upset the applecart and are complicit in this shambolic Evans/Lambert regime. |  | | |
