Personally I think he will walk 18:42 - Apr 10 with 10827 viewshype313

If, and its a big if he was unaware (which I find incredibly hard to believe) and feels like the rug has been pulled then I think he may well be off. I hope I'm wrong and would be more than happy to be proved incorrect, but I just find it bizarre that he hasn't taken two Press conferences now since the announcements, why wouldn't you? Unless you feel you have been shafted

Probably just fed up of people taking the p*ss about his voice!

I’m genuinely pretty concerned that this might be the case, hence my post on the Gill interview. Really hope he doesn’t, I think he’s the right manager, but as with the points you make unfortunately it does seem likely atm.

Also, he's had a good look at the squad now and realised that it's not a few tweaks here and there, it's a complete overhaul A) Does he fancy this job as it will be huge and B) Will he get the finances to do so?

He’s already been backed publicly by the new owners and has the chance to be at the forefront of an exciting new era at the club. The chances are he will also be given a more workable budget for next season. Surely Cook is experienced enough to understand football is a business.

Whilst the least the fans deserve is a post match press conference from the manager, especially having had to sit through that performance, I can’t help but feel this is being blown wildly out of proportion.

Well he has more chance of getting the finances under the new owners.

O’Leary confirmed that Cook didn’t know that it was actually happening on 18:52 - Apr 10 with 4675 viewsunstableblue

BBC Suffolk played back the words from O’Leary and it was clear that when they met Cook was unsure of his position and the impact of the takeover.

And O’Leary was there to reassure him.

If that’s the case Cook must feel incredibly let down by Marcus.

Let’s hope this is a storm in a tea cup, Cook just wasn’t up for the conversation this evening, but after a couple of wins and a resurgent team we see a happy manager.

Or as happy as he can be when the CEO is not yet announced.

I really hope O’Leary has met him post match.

Whilst I agree with what Hype say, and the signs don’t look good, I really hope you’re right and I’m massively overthinking it

I get that, but even if he has been backed by the new owners that wasn't the gig he signed up for, he was under the impression Evans was just seeking additional investment and may feel quite annoyed about taking a job he didn't initially sign up for.

Also he might be thinking this job is far more difficult than first feared.

Plenty if people were saying he should be licking his lips with this team, I think the realisation is setting in mow that the players are bang average and a management team of Klopp, Guardiola and Ferguson would struggle to put something together.

I honestly hope not. But he did allegedly turn down the Bristol City job which have a similar structure to what we are looking to implement, maybe even the same CEO!

Maybe he's just waiting to see who the new CEO will be before making any comments re the future of the team, because there might be a CEO name he feels unable to work with?

It is a bit worrying.

That would still be a very odd way for a manager to behave.

I understand that he might be annoyed at the goalposts changing but I can't accept that he's discovered that the job is bigger than he thought - if that's true it doesn't say much for his insight, research and ability.

Cook isn't stupid. He must know how it looks not doing these press conferences since the takeover. I reckon he thinks he's been misled by Evans and is extremely peed off. I wouldn't be surprised if he walked but I hope he doesn't

Really can't see him walking. I think next time we hear him he'll be full of excitement.

IF he does walk then I won't be too bothered as he won't the manager I thought he was.

I repeat though, I think he IS the manager I think he is and he'll love it.

Someone else will be making the decisions regarding that transfer investment and Cook will get paid out the value of the three year contract easily enough anyway if he'd been misled during the recruitment process.

I'm really not sure this is the case - he came here to have complete control of the footballing side of the club, and is now being told that there will be a structure enforced on him by people he's never met before, making decisions on transfers etc.

For him to be publicly interviewed on the situation now would be madness from his (legal) perspective. He will have been advised this.

From what I've read, he's apparently not happy with a certain type of FC structure, nor a particular person who was making decisions re player signings at another club.

Having said that, I wouldn't want anyone here as Manager who doesn't see us as a huge opportunity & inviting challange right now, so if that's the case & he's off, then so be it. Tho finding a decent replacement would be difficult of course.
