There is no way that Nsiala is our highest wage earner.

This site is called salarysport.com What are the sources for its information? It has taken some information from some unspecified source, sorted the squad somehow and taken a complete (and rather random) guess at the wages.

EDIT: It has even managed to include Bennetts as our highest wage earner but failed to include Parrott at all. Do we honestly believe that Kenlock and Jackson are on pretty much the same wage and that it is lower than Lankester's?

Given that player wage information* is highly confidential and unlikely to be known by many people (especially outside the top level), how would those sources obtain reliable information?

Sure, you can apply models of likely pay structures to each club, but things vary so much (with each contract negotiated in isolation) categorising individual players becomes little more than a guess.

Doesn't negate your original point that Drinan is likely to be quite a cheap option.

* Except as an aggregate for the whole squad.

What do you think each of those mean?

- Team/player press releases = press speculation.
- Confirmed by widely circulate articles from top tier publications = media speculation still
- Industry experts & team insiders = people who have worked in football taking a guess
- Accurately and reliably sourced encyclopedias [sic] & databases = the sort of thing a student who was supposed to supply references to a report writes when they haven't bothered doing any proper research. Please link me one encyclopaedia or database that gives any of our player's wages.

Just curious why anyone would believe anything that is so obviously speculation supported with spurious vague statements.

How much was Parrott on? Why are his wages not on there? What is the club's total wage bill on any accounts that are in the public domain and do these match up? Why, do you think, Nsiala was given higher wages than the rest of the squad? Why do you think Kenlock and Lankester were given contracts on higher wages than Jackson? There is too much that is clearly wrong within an article that has no credibility either.

Just to play devils advocate here, now not saying each salary is 100% accurate

But what are the timings of the contracts? for example Nsiala, he signed his following hurst when he came to us in the champ... didn't some of our side sign extensions when we got relegated or the season after which then included a reduction in the new contract.
Jackson, signed from league 2 - non hurst side, so probably wouldn't have been on that high a wage - possibly...

I don't think they are spot on salaries, but some of the differences between who gets what could be explained maybe by timing of extensions etc?? league they came from? I think Bennets inclusion as the only loanee is probably as his salary has been well known for a while - not sure where from mind you.

It's clearly total guesswork given the contracts are confidential between the parties.

You'll get analysis paralysis if you keep over-analysing anything you can get your hands on about ITFC.
